Excellent Stay

Not a perfect stay
I had booked an upper heritage room. But they provided me a lower room on enquiry they told me all rooms are full unable to give upper room. Room was cosy and no view.

Terrible Stay
The hotel is pretty expensive but the rooms are small. You may feel as there is no window in most of the rooms. Behaviour of the front desk staff is rude and unprofessional, don’t ask for any assistance as they will try to the situation.

Poor Stay
No functional lift. Window Ac not powerful at all. Super small and cramped washrooms with blocked shower nozzle. Was stuck in washroom with no phone for emergency purpose. Fruit platter served on the last date was spoiled. Charged extra to upgrade room for ghat view, not available on MakeMyTrip app. Other room had no ghat view, windows were blocked from outside.

We would like to clarify that our hotel offers three categories of rooms – Base, Heritage Luxury Upper Floor, and Ghat View Rooms. Your booking through MakeMyTrip was confirmed under the Base Category, which does not include direct ghat-facing windows. The Ghat View Rooms are available only under a higher category and are chargeable separately. Regarding your concerns: Our lift is newly installed and generally functional; however, we regret if you experienced any inconvenience. The AC and washroom fittings are checked regularly, and we will have our maintenance team re-inspect them immediately. The fruit platter issue has been noted with our F&B team, and corrective measures are being taken to avoid such incidents. Phone was available in each rooms . We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve our services further. We regret any inconvenience caused and hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Yes food was good but location very bad, main entrance flooded with water.. u can't enter without keeping ur foot in 1 feet deep water 💦

Excellent Stay
The property is decent and the authentic theme makes it special. Some new things to learn they have Books for study which belong to many fields. The food is awesome, but they need to plan for the buffet system. Manager Anuj Mishra is very humble and polite, he helps us with all local routes.

LODGE NOT A HOTEL
Location is only good as its near 80 ghat but its so congested that u can barely walk into hotel u cant even stop ur vehicle in front of hotel u have to stop very far away an walk back to hotel there is not a single vehicle parking in hotel u have to park at 80 ghat parking with charges 50/hr means 1200 rs per day ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL tiny rooms with minimum facilities no hot water and they dont clean the room even after asking to do so no room service no lift they have a small dingy restaurant on terrace with pathatic food staff is rude in all its a kind of small scale LODGE terrible stay and they charge like five star hotels

charming hotel
The location was perfect. Food great. Staff were friendly and respectful. We booked 2 rooms, I could not get the river view room as it was not available. The rooms were small but good and have a character. One tip, if you have children avoid room 'Orissa', the decor in the room is R rated :-)

Good hotel for people who want to stay right in assi ghat
The hotel is located on assi ghat but from your room you can't see ganga. You have to go to rooftop for any ganga view. Infactt room doesn't have any window. Rooms are medium size, clean with large bathroom, restaurant is pure veg at the roof top. Overally good hotel but dont book it for ganga view but assi ghat is 30 sec walk and convinient for morning and evening arati in assi ghat. Price is quite high as its popular but most hotel in varanasi on the river is expensive.
