MaK Hotel used to be a dependable stay near EGL with excellent hospitality, which is why I’ve been a regular guest after COVID. Unfortunately, my recent stay was extremely disappointing and far below the standards you once upheld.
Basic essentials were missing — no toiletries, dental kit, or even a complimentary water bottle. The room didn’t have a landline to order food, and when I approached the staff, almost every request was met with the same excuse: “Management has changed and this is no longer provided.”
This isn’t just about small amenities; it shows a complete decline in service and attitude. The staff were unhelpful, and the experience felt more like a low‑grade aggregator hotel than the MaK Hotel I used to trust. For anyone traveling on official work, I would not recommend this property anymore.
Message to management :
You should reconsider recent shitty policy changes. I am not sure whose idea was that but please don't listen to "that guy". Providing basic supplies and ensuring attentive service goes a long way in retaining customers. You can increase the price but at least provide hospitality . Otherwise, many like me may be forced to look for alternatives.
