Review Of LooneyDunez on the beach homestay

We chose the place knowing the short-comings, hence we were not disappointed. Pros- the place is quiet and right on the beach. The host is accommodating and hospitable. If you wish, you can spend long time anytime of the day or night watching the sea, fro n either the beach, front and roof terrace or even from window. Very near to the railway station (about 400-500meters if you walk here from the end of the platform) cons - place is difficult to reach. Road map will take you upto the 60th pillar, then you will need to walk the rest 150meters. Often during the rains that part is muddy. Food is not cooked inhouse, only tea and coffee, but you have swiggy or zomato delivery. Rooms can definitely be cleaner. We could notice a bit of cobwebs and pillows were a bit dusty, we carried our own blankets, did not use theirs. Overall: if you are looking for a quiet time, or enjoy sea (expensive hotels are bit far from beach and you do not get to see the night sea, or have a flair of adventure, this is the place to visit. We took a day off our bookings at club mahindra, to stay in this place to enjoy the raw nature (but be wary of the cons mentioned above)

Better not to book this hotel. Difficult in finding hotel, food is worst, no hygiene & safety maintained. Good thing is owner was supportive

This is not upto mint standard. The mint mentioned in the description like they have parking space, kitchen facilities etc, that were not there. The caretaker asked us to leave before 12 pm, the cleanliness was utter poor, even the blankets were not properly washed. This facility does not provide any towel soap or any sort of things. Utter waste

The rooms were not used and clean from last 7 months. Too smelly and dust. Lizards were everywhere. Kitchen was hell. Even swiggy was not ready to deliver foods.

The property location was easily reachable. The caretaker was cooperative. Cleanliness and facilities were nice and rooms were comfortable. Food was delicious. I will recommend this property.

The property was not easily accessible and The roads were not developed. The property cleanliness should have improved and The hygiene was not up to The mark. The staffs were cooperative they were humble and helpful as they helped us to discover all The attractions of The City.

The caretaker was helpful. Property was clean and tidy. Location was near The Beach but as there is no approach Road for own vehicle it was a little hassle to find The property. Rooms were average.

The location was good for The property. The room was good and comfortable. I got all The basic facilities that I needed in that property. Surely going to recommend this property to others.

The hotel is average, not so clean we didn't get enough bath towels or toiletries.

I found The location was great as it is very near to The Beach. The stay was very good in all terms whether it was of The rooms or of The cleanliness and facilities. The caretaker was very helpful. The quality of The food was also good. I would surely recommend this property to others.

The property location was not accessible by The car and we found it tough to reach there. The staffs were good. The cleanliness of The property should have improved and maintenance as well.

It was our first time in Alleppey and everything was awesome Beach, food and peoples we had great time.

It was a good stay. It totally has 3 bedrooms and it is very neat. But the only issue is hot water was not coming when we stayed there. It is very near to the beach and we need to go through a narrow road. Caretaker was very friendly and he arranged us shikhara ride with good price. Overall it's a nice stay.

Poovar service not good for a happy stay

Ideal for Bachelors. Only 3 rooms available but they are excellent. Has a beachfront. Almost a private beach. We enjoyed it a lot. The caretaker and owner both were very good to us.

Visited here with family. The hotel is very close to the Alleppey Railway station (approx 700 meters). We arrived there by walking. If you want to reach there, just keep walking on the platform till the end, there is a railway crossing and you need to take a right which will take you on the beach road. Google map is also accurate in reaching here. The ocean is next to the front gate of the hotel. The road to the hotel was a dirt road and filled with water due to rain. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The hosts were very helpful in arranging auto, houseboat ride, etc. Food options were not great and we ordered online via Swiggy. We got breakfast (paid) the next morning as per our demand. The hotel has a sitting area on the rooftop and the view is amazing there. Overall experience was quite good.
