This was truly the worst stay of our lives. I traveled with my family this time, and for the first time ever, I had to choose the less filthy of two rooms just to let my parents stay in it.
The moment we entered, an unbearable mix of foul odors—like , pan, and sweat—hit us. The linen looked as if it had never been changed since the hotel started operations. There were vegetable stains on the quilt, fungus growing over pan stains on the walls, and no signs of proper cleaning at all.
The washroom was equally horrifying—no exhaust, dirty buckets and jugs, and an overall unhygienic condition. We had to place our own cloth on the pillows and cover our faces with handkerchiefs to make it through the night. Even the towels provided smelled of kerosene and sweat.
The situation was made worse by poor facilities: no proper ventilation, no telecom service in the room, no electricity backup for ACs (the generator only ran the fans), and no cleanliness. Opening the window only revealed a narrow street wall smeared with years of pan stains. To add to the nightmare, the room was crawling with cockroaches that we had to kill just to sleep.
Me and my brother even developed sore throats from the unhygienic conditions. Overall, it was not just uncomfortable—it was a night of survival.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you have no other option, it’s better to cancel your trip or sleep in your car rather than go through such misery. This has been the worst core memory of my life when it comes to travel.
