The USP of the homestay is its location. Stunning view and lush green surroundings. Food is home type but very limited menu. Cleanliness, both in room and hygiene in food preparation needs lots of improvement. Staff is courteous. Overall Good.

First of all, I’d like to mention how clean the room was—no unpleasant odors from the blanket and a spotless washroom. Our room came with a balcony-cum-terrace that offered a beautiful view of the valley, which was a real treat. The highlight of the property, however, was definitely the food. It was absolutely delicious and priced very reasonably. The staff were well-behaved, courteous, and always ready to help. Overall, our stay was incredibly pleasant, with a cozy and welcoming vibe throughout the property.

I had a wonderful 4-day stay at Green Mountain Valley Homestay in Lansdowne. The place is truly a hidden gem, offering a peaceful escape with stunning views. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully covered with iron fencing, ensuring safety while still allowing you to enjoy nature. One of the best things about this homestay is that it’s pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us as we traveled with our dog. However, I’d recommend not leaving your pet unattended, especially at night—we had a surprising visitor at our door, possibly a leopard, likely drawn by our dog’s scent. Thankfully, the fencing provided security, but it’s always good to be cautious in such remote locations. The owner and staff are incredibly polite and hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, homemade, and reasonably priced, making every meal a delight. The property itself is serene, perfect for unwinding, and also serves as a great viewpoint to enjoy the beauty of Lansdowne. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat close to nature, with great hospitality and good food, this place is a perfect choice. Highly recommended, especially for pet parents who love traveling with their furry companions!

Hotel's hospitality was good including the food, facilities, parking. Only disappointing thing was no proper path is there, be it coming to hotel or going from room to dining point. Owners must spend some bucks to fix the paths.

To reach at hotel, around 150 to 200 m steep down road, and half of the way to hotel is not built, that was the problem. The railing at the boundary was not cemented thus safety was a concern. Rest food, views everything was perfect. Overall 4 out of 5 for the property.

The property is very easily accessible and is in a good surrounding. The property is very well maintained and cleanliness was also nicely taken care of. The rooms were spacious. The food quality was also nice and the staffs were helpful and friendly.

The location of the property was easy to locate. Caretaker was helpful and friendly. Cleanliness and facilities were good. And the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I will recommend the property to others.

The cottage is good and 5 kilometers away from Lansdowne. You can get cabs towards Lansdowne. Climate is unpredictable, it is better to be prepared for some rain. The cottage had few rooms far from the reception area and could not give room service due to rain, but it is fun to go to the restaurant, the interior is made of bamboo and it is clean. The best thing about cottage they already had the umbrellas ready which helped us a lot. Lots of monkey in the area but with no disturbance, nothing to worry about it. The price list of food is nominal. Lansdowne is beautiful and you can enjoy only if you love nature. It has 4 major places to visit, the church is beautiful, you can enjoy boating in Bullatal lake, Tiffin top is beautiful to see the sunset and sunrise. It is advisable to visit all the places walking, it can let you enjoy nature and see langurs (white-faced monkey). The area to cover from Lansdowne market to tiffin top will be approximately 10 kilometers and it took 5 hours to cover. A 2-day visit is enough to explore Lansdowne. While coming down from Lansdowne, near to Duggadda you will see the river flowing. You can enjoy photography. I and my family enjoyed a lot. I am sure you guys can enjoy too. People are really good.
