Review Of Golden Peak - KTDC

Had a pleasant stay at KTDC Ponmudi. The location is beautiful, surrounded by greenery and misty hills — perfect for a peaceful getaway. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was decent, though there’s room for improvement. Overall, a great experience in a stunning setting.

The stay at Golden Peak was good. The place, view and ambience was exceptional. Price was reasonable. Room, bed and bathroom were clean. Staffs are helpful. Check in and check out process were fast. Night paid food was not upto the expectation. Morning complement breakfast was very good. Overall very good experience.

The hotel has a superb location with a beautiful view, which was the highlight of our stay. The rooms were average and could have been better maintained. However, the food was good and enjoyable. Overall, a decent experience with scope for improvement.

Rooms facility not good. Charges are high but facility cleanliness is bad.

Cottages in dire need of electrical maintenance and upgradation.Power supply went out during night.Eventhough a generator was seen,there was no arrangement to distribute backup power to cottages.Fire extinguisher installed was past it's refilling date.Blanket provided was dusty and the soap stand was in a broken state.The bed provided was uncomfortable.Sheets and towels were clean and the basic toiletries were provided.Our stay was in the hill view cottages.It was an apt name as the view from the window was superb.Landscaping beautifully blends with the hillocks.Reception staff were good and attentive but the restaurant services need improvement.Food standards are below par.The complementary breakfast buffet was good.But the boiled eggs were kept without their shells removed.Overall we had a good stay but KTDC should really focus on restaurant standards,maintenance and upgradation.

The Golden Peak location offers easy access to Ponmudi Top Hill, just 1.5 km away. The stay was average, with basic rooms that need maintenance. I think garden view rooms are a good option. I stayed in a hill view room. The restaurant served good food, but pre-ordering is required. Breakfast was complimentary. For the price, it's okay, but improvements are needed in room maintenance, bathroom facilities, and amenities like air fresheners. With proper upkeep, this property could offer a nice stay experience.

We never stayed in such a pathetically mainteined hotel ever in our life. It’s a classic example of how a hotel/ resort should not be maintained. We booked and paid for 2 days, yet we vacated the very next morning. The property is not at all tidy and attitude of the staff is typically that of a government staff. Though our booking says we were able to check in at 1 pm. We were made to wait there till 2.45. It was really a harrowing time for is after travelling almost 250 kilometre. The food was like cattle feed service timing was Indian stretchable time. We would suggest mmt to sever ties with them and refund our money forthwith

Location is excellent. Staffs were well behaved and answered all the concerns raised. As it's government property room not well maintained especially bathroom and toilet. Again there's no other stay option available at ponmudi you can book here keep in mind rooms may not neat and clean. Food is average and costly. You have to pay Onemore thing , Ponnudi is only less than one day explorer you can see valley and less excited meenmutty water falls. You can enjoy the drive to Ponnudi but try to avoid stay.

Clean room with a very good view. Courteous staff and good food. Sitting in the small landing we could enjoy the chill. The broken chair and cracked wash basin should be replaced.

it's a very nice hill top with breath taking experience and the stay in Golden Peak Hotel was very nice.

Everything was excellent, communication, view , food, and staff . Exceptional service, property management was great.

We had a wonderful experience at KTDC Golden Peak! Right from check-in, the staff were incredibly courteous, polite, and helpful, making us feel at home instantly. The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking — a perfect place to unwind and soak in nature. The landscaping is done beautifully, adding to the serenity and charm of the place. You can tell a lot of care has gone into maintaining the surroundings. The weather at night is something else — cool, breezy, and absolutely refreshing. It truly elevates the entire experience! The rooms were decent and comfortable, just what you need after a long day of exploring. The food was also quite decent — we enjoyed the buffet dinner and found the morning spread to be satisfying. Overall, it’s a peaceful getaway with great views, lovely weather, and warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend and love to return someday!

Service was really bad, Cleaning off the room was bad

The room should be better for this, but the location and view are great. The woolen blanket smells dusty, and the beds aren't fresh. Since KTDC charges a premium price for the room but offers poor service, they ought to handle these issues.

Rating: 2.5/5 The customer service was good, and the complimentary breakfast was quite satisfying. The food overall was decent, and the surrounding area had a pleasant atmosphere. However, the condition of the room was disappointing. The bed, toilet, door, and table all appeared outdated and poorly maintained, as if they hadn’t been upgraded in decades. Additionally, Wi-Fi was not consistently available throughout the property or at all times.

Last time I have done review on my stay but not able to redeem the same I have the code .
