Good vibes, nice view from balcony and budget friendly.

The roof cracked, it was raining in the room and room got flooded. Everything including us, bags, furniture was dripping wet.

The hotel was good. It was clean stuff for good good maintenance. It is wonderful to stay in the property.

We booked this property because next day we had to go to Kolukkumulai to see the sunrise and it’s very near to jeep pick up . The property owner first of all helped us in navigation and that too he himself called us because the Google map showed us a different way which was very dangerous road and we were reaching to this hotel very late . We also requested him to arrange food for us and he also did that . Rooms were basic but very neat and clean . Overall a very budget friendly stay with great hospitality.

It was a pleasant stay at Big Mist. Easy and quick check in. Kevin was very helpful throughout the stay. Rooms were well maintained. The staff was responsive.

Amenity Ambiance is good, Rooms were near and clean. since it's new property it lack the basic needs , it's not an complaint, it's an area of improvement required like Heaters in Room, basic welcome kit. Kevin the property person was polite and humble to fulfill our requirements on food orders. This property is worth for staying.

The stay was neat and tidy. There was hot water available full time. Food are available upon order, you have to wait around 30 mins for the preparation. Overall, staff behavior was nice and well.

Stay was okay. We had requested for bonfire, the person who takes care declined our request without trying. No hot water also.

Service is not that great. Owner is not so interactive and didn't have small smile on his face when he received us.He provided ground floor room, when we asked to provide upstairs one his response was very bad, he said we have given enough discount for you so can't give upstairs one although all the rooms are of same price and we didn't get any extra discount from any of us and we booked for the price which was showing. He would rather deny by saying rooms are full or something else but his response made us irritated.Also in the weather of Kodaikanal how can one person can take bath in 3 mugs of medium hot water, yes they have only 2-3 ltrs of geaser which can give only 1/4th bucket of hot water and you have to wait for 5-10.mins for next 1/4th bucket of water which is horrible. We didn't like the property.

At very good location, staff is very good in behaviour

Hotel is located bit off road but very useful if you are going for Kolukkumalai Tea Estate. Hotel staff was supportive as they arranged Jeep safari for Kolukkumalai without any hastle. The Hotel can be located by Philips Ark on Google map or else you won’t be able to find Oara Hotel. They don’t have kitchen presently so food has to be managed from nearby cafés.

The property location is not bad. The room was good and clean. The view was good. But food or even tea for that matter was always either late or not available. The caretaker was difficult to find at the premises.
