Amazing tranquil stay at utelia homestay, this is probably the 5th time i have stayed here. The sheer gardens and the homely nature of the place brings calm and sereneness back in our busy travel schedules! and of course, ms vidhatri devi ji is a professional host with a strong emotional connect! strongly recommend staying here for business / family stays!

Regarding the check-in experience, we would like to clarify that our standard check-in time is 2 PM, as mentioned on MMT website. Since you arrived at 7 AM, and the room was occupied by other guests, we needed time to clean and prepare it after their departure. However, we made an exception and provided the room to you by 10:30 AM (free of extra charges which the other hotels charge for extra hour) and well before the scheduled time. We hope you can appreciate our efforts to accommodate you and consider this in your feedback. Thank you!”

a four star but feels like a home
Found it very centrally located right next to law garden, a lovely house with a beautiful well maintained garden for chilling out on winter mornings & evenings. The homestay has such old world charm of decor with real wooden furniture, carved stone marble accessories, scrupulously clean rooms, bedding & bathrooms. In fact all that a 4 star business hotel has plus a personalised touch which invites making new friends & enjoying simple pleasures.

Utelia is Avery Cosy stay . Vidatri ji is a great host . The caretaker is available always. The stay is very peaceful surrounded by greenery in the midst of a bustling city. Would suggest this place for people who want a quiet undisturbed stay. Meeting Gucci was a plus point😊

businessReally enjoyed my stay at utelia homestay, the place was quaint, clean and well located. The care taker and house owner were both incredibly helpful - would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice, quite space to unwind after a day of exploring the city.

coupleLocation is good & room is nice. House lady the owner though is not customer friendly & insensitive to guest needs. She is very arrogant &rudely rigid in communication to guest on house rules which are trival in nature. Tv is not working & ac is closed centrally in day time.

House Rules: Our policy strictly prohibits non-registered guests in the rooms for the safety and comfort of all occupants. Ensuring a secure environment is a priority for us. Regrettably, during your stay, I noticed that you had visitors in your room at 10 PM, which goes against our safety guidelines. Late-night Disturbance: At 00:00 Hour, Mr. Oza was on a call speaking loudly, displaying least concern for other guests. Creating a tranquil environment for all guests is crucial, and I acknowledge the importance of respecting others' comfort. Speaking loudly on the phone at midnight is not in line with our expectations for guest behavior. Amenities: It's important to note that the absence of a TV is clearly stated on all OTA listings. Additionally, our AC is consistently operational unless an unforeseen power breakdown occurs. We strive to maintain uninterrupted AC services in line with standard practices for prime properties like ours. Ethical Standards: Upholding integrity and fairness in our dealings is fundamental. We refrain from engaging in discount trades or providing better luxurious rooms for favorable reviews and aim to ensure high service standards despite negotiations sometimes posing challenges. Having visitors in the room against safety rules and causing disturbances late at night do not align with our homestay's expectations for guest behavior, and I was forced to address this issue directly as Mr Oza refrained from following the rules and be concerned about other guests. soloI found utelia by chance while searching for hotels in ahmedabad and am glad i found this amazing place. Have been traveling non stop for a month, staying in hotels in various cities and was looking for a change from the typical hotel environment. Centrally located and yet not at all affected by the hustle and bustle, utelia is a hidden gem for people who love silence and enjoy nature. The property which i was told was built in the 1950's has all the modern amenities but the owners have taken care to retain its original design and all refurbishments remain faithful to the period. Lovely garden, great location and real nice hosts. I would like to stay at utelia again would encourage travellers to ahmedabad to check this place out.
