A very nice stay along with super helpful staffs and manager. The food was awesome and easily one of the best in gangtok which made the stay even better. 2 small suggestions - Put floor rug infront of your bathroom so that room doesn't get wet and improve the wifi condition as its too slow to do anything.

They will show you good rooms but during check in you will be provided with their worst room. Offline rooms are cheaper by rs800.

Dzongkar residency. Pros - 1) excellent location 2)good construction 3)well designed interiors, 4)lift cons- 1)lazy housekeeping will soonake the property look shabby. Pointed out the accumulated dirt but house keeping just saw it and went away. Did not come back to clean it. Water was not draining in bathroom due to accumulated hair in the drain. Really gross. 2) plastic water jugs for the room looked dirty, we asked for water in glass bottle which was supplied. 3) toiletries promised but only given when asked. That too only one small soap bar. 4)on asking for extra pillow, it was denied. Not everyone can sleep using just 1 pillow. Comfort was compromised5) worst breakfast ever. There is no buffet for breakfast. We waited for 45 mins in an empty hall with just one other guest. They are very stingy with food. They served the other guest first who arrived after us. We just had to wait till they finished before they even took our order. We were asked what we wanted whether continental or indian. We asked for one continental veg and one indian veg. No eggs, no meat. They did not serve cornflakes in the continental because they didn't have it. They only serve 3 slices of bread with 1 jam and butter because they don't give more bread in the continental! refused. Even if we don't eat eggs and chicken. Also both breakfast menu had cut fruits but they served only 1 plate of 1 banana and 1 apple and asked us to share the fruits. On objecting to this they provided another banana and half an apple. The indian breakfast had 2 small parathas served with pickle. We had asked for coffee after breakfast but they got it first thing before they brought any food. The entire attitude of the waiting staff and cook was not at all pleasing. They just refuse and go away. We don't know if they will bring what we ask or have just disappeared. When we objected regarding the cut fruits the group of them went and complained at reception then the waiter came back to take our picture on his phone for his owner! i refused this. It's really strange that they even have a dining hall when they don't want to serve anyone food. The other guest asked for a glass of hot milk for her child which was also refused. Never book room with breakfast in this hotel.

The location was good. The room was clean and tidy the only problem was it didn't have any chair to seat. The breakfast offered was the best
