Disappointing Experience at Hotel Royal Jardin Whistling Pines Resort
I recently stayed at Hotel and unfortunately my experience was far from satisfactory.
Room Discrepancy and Unhelpful Staff
I had booked a Super Deluxe room, but upon arrival, I was informed that only 1 room is available and that had no mountain views as shown in MMT and all such rooms were occupied. The staff offered me a Deluxe room with mountain views as an alternative. However, I was charged an additional ₹3,000 for my 7-year-old child apart from total booking amount of for 2 nights including breakfast , despite MakeMyTrip listing the extra charge as ₹1,500. When I raised this issue, the hotel management was unresponsive and did not offer any compensation.
Limited and Subpar Dining Options
The food menu was extremely limited, and the quality was average at best. Breakfast consisted of only two options, and there were noticeable hygiene concerns in the dining area.
Unresolved Complaints and Poor Customer Service
I escalated my concerns to MakeMyTrip, who contacted the hotel management. Despite their intervention, the issues remained unresolved. The hotel manager even discouraged me from contacting MakeMyTrip, citing the volume of complaints they were receiving.
Pressure to Leave Positive Feedback
On the final day, the manager insisted that I leave a positive review. Although I complied at the time, I later updated it to reflect the true nature of my experience.
Conclusion
I am thoroughly disappointed with the hotel's management and staff. The lack of professionalism and customer care was evident throughout my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to others seeking a pleasant and hassle-free experience.
