When I searched a homestay in Shillong for our 3 days stay at Shillong, the most important consideration was the location. On scrutinising the maps I found Risa Forest Green Homestay in a very suitable and peaceful location, amidst the greenery of Risa Forest and completely out of the hustle bustle of the city, yet very near to the important places. Then I booked it through MakeMyTrip after seeing the visuals of the rooms and common areas. It is one of the best homestays I have ever stayed in. The property is well maintained, neat and clean with every amenities. The host Veera is very cooperative, helpful and friendly. We had a very nice and comfortable stay here and I strongly recommend Risa Forest Green Homestay if anyone is looking for a homestay in Shillong.

The location is absolutely awesome, the hospitality is top-notch. There's not a speck of dust or grime anywhere, the property is well maintained. There are 4 bedrooms in total, 2 in ground floor and another 2 on the first floor. Along with that, there is a beautifully decorated living cum dining area, and a huge kitchen with all modern amenities and perfectly clean utensils. The owner herself is so warm and hospitable that you'd feel absolutely at home staying there. The food was made as per the availability and our choice, fresh homely meals, kept in clean containers with utmost care. It has become my go-to place anytime that I visit Shillong. The energy of this place is refreshing, calm and serene.

We had a blissful, relaxing stay in Veera’s lovely place. Of course, the favourite part of our stay was watching the rain fall amidst the forest greenery from the balcony, sipping on our tea & coffee.

An easy one to recommend. Very clean and well maintained. Lovely staff and host. Responsive and helpful. A nice forest view from the balcony. Peaceful location and ample amenities. A great place to stay.
