I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times before. This hotel is right behind Iskcon Temple and therefore the most convenient location for my stay. I was given a room at the terrace 4th floor but the lift goes only till 3rd floor, you need to walk a floor up. There was no illumination on the terrace making it difficult to access the room in pitch darkness.
One consistent issue with this hotel is shortage of water in the bathrooms. During our stay, we walked into the room with dry taps. The manager said the tank was full and water would flow shortly. Even after an hour there was very low almost no water. The manager left after 9pm and still there was no water. The reception number was switched off and we had no number to call. The manager left without even asking us. Upon asking the caretaker, he said the water tank was empty and it was being filled. We got water in our taps after 2 hours. We were not able to use the bathroom for 5 hours after check-in. To make matters worse there is no backup number for room service after they switch off their main mobile. It was a quite disappointing stay this time at Hotel Nikunj.
