I am writing to formally complain about a booking issue I experienced with Hotel KAC, Varanasi, booked through MakeMyTrip (Booking ID: NH******2832).
I booked two rooms at Hotel KAC via MakeMyTrip and arrived for check-in on February 20, 2025, at 1:00 AM. Upon arrival, the hotel manager asked us to wait at the reception. After a three-hour wait, at 4:00 AM, the manager informed us that they had only received a booking for one room from MakeMyTrip. They claimed this was a technical issue. To our dismay, the manager then proceeded to give the other room (which we had booked) to another customer, charging them double the rate, right in front of us.
This situation is completely unacceptable. I had booked and paid for two rooms, as evidenced by the attached booking voucher. The fact that the hotel gave away our pre-booked room to another customer after making us wait for three hours is appalling. Furthermore, the claim of a "technical issue" from MakeMyTrip seems dubious, especially given the hotel's actions.
I request that you take strict action against both Hotel KAC and MakeMyTrip for this gross negligence and mismanagement. I expect a full refund for the inconvenience and distress caused, as well as appropriate compensation for the additional expenses I incurred due to this issue.
