I booked this homestay based on their claim of having a refrigerator, cooking basics, a stove/induction, and mineral water. Traveling with my baby, I ensured I carried essential items, but the experience was far from what I expected.
Kitchen & Facilities:
The kitchen was a nightmare. Contrary to their claims, there was nothing in the kitchen except a kettle and an almost empty water can. I couldn’t heat food for my baby or cook anything. After complaining, the caretaker brought a burner and two small bowls but no lighter or matchbox. It felt like they assumed guests would bring their own. Basic utensils and masala were initially unavailable. When my nanny asked for them, the caretaker denied it at first, providing only chili powder. After calling the owner, they finally sent some spices, but it was inconvenient. The water was undrinkable, tasting like sand, and there was no RO. Thankfully, I had brought water from home.
Suitability for Families:
This homestay might be suitable for bachelors who eat outside and roam around all day, but it’s not family-friendly. If you have a baby and need a functional kitchen for basic cooking, this is not the place for you.
Furniture & Comfort:
There was only one sofa in the house and no chairs, which made seating arrangements uncomfortable and inconvenient for a family.
Parking & Safety:
There’s no designated parking. We had to park in an open space beside the house, which was surrounded by stray dogs. One dog constantly waited outside the door and even chased my husband daily when he went to the car.
Conclusion:
Toiletries were not provided, and the overall lack of promised amenities made the stay extremely disappointing. These basic facilities are expected in any homestay, especially when hosting families. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort or convenience.
