I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Thrissur with my family, and while the hotel's modern amenities and cleanliness were impressive, the service fell short of expectations. We booked the rooms to rest during a road trip, but our stay was marred by several issues.
The room was located near an ongoing maintenance area, which caused significant noise disturbance and made it difficult to sleep. Despite complaining to the staff, the issue persisted for two consecutive days. The staff's response was apologetic, but their inability to resolve the issue or provide a suitable alternative was disappointing.
In-room dining was another area where we faced issues. The food was not delivered as promised, and when I complained, the staff member apologized but didn't escalate the issue to their manager. Instead, they visited me in person, which seemed more like a gesture to placate rather than genuinely address the concern.
During checkout, I raised these concerns and requested to speak with the duty manager. However, the receptionist's response was unconvincing, and the offer of a complimentary stay seemed like a standard response rather than a genuine attempt to rectify the issues. I emphasized the need for staff training and education, but my concerns were not adequately addressed.
Given that the property is new and boasts best-in-class facilities, it's disappointing to see that the staff's professionalism and service standards are not up to par. I hope the management takes constructive feedback seriously and works on improving the staff's service quality.
On a last note I’m still expecting their email as they promised me they will send an email 😂
