The location of the hotel is definitely a plus – it's conveniently situated and easily accessible. However, several aspects of the stay were disappointing.
First and foremost, bathroom hygiene needs serious improvement. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell, and basic amenities like toilet paper had to be requested multiple times before being provided. While it’s possible that the staff was short-handed at the time, such essentials should be ready in the room beforehand. Despite being listed on the MakeMyTrip website, bathroom slippers were not provided either.
Another important point to note is that the hotel does not have a lift. So if you have trouble climbing stairs or are travelling with elderly people, keep that in mind before booking.
The room did not have a mini fridge or mini bar, which may not be an issue for everyone, but is worth noting for those expecting it. Also, the fan in the room was quite noisy, which affected comfort, especially during the night.
Mathura is known for frequent power cuts, but thankfully, the hotel does have a power backup system in place, which helped.
I didn’t try the café, so I can’t comment on the food or service there.
Overall, while the location and power backup are positives, the lack of basic amenities, poor bathroom maintenance, and absence of a lift are significant drawbacks. Suitable for short stays if you're okay with minimal comfort and are able to manage the stairs.
