I had one of the worst experiences staying at Hotel HEERA Residency and would not recommend it to anyone. I regularly travel for work and typically stay 7–10 days a month in various hotels. This time, my stay at HEERA Residency, Bhopal, was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the room I was given was much smaller than what was shown in the images on their website. It felt like a bait-and-switch situation. Despite booking a "Luxury Room," there was absolutely no difference between the Luxury, Deluxe, and Executive rooms—except the price. Charging extra for a luxury room that offers nothing additional is unacceptable.
Breakfast was supposedly included in my booking, but no one informed me about it. They didn’t even bother to call or remind me. This happened on two separate occasions. For a hotel that claims to offer decent service, this level of communication is disappointing.
Additionally, I checked out two hours late while waiting for someone to pick me up. As every hotel provide late checkout if available, I requested not to be charged, yet I was billed 30% extra. There was no prior mention of late checkout charges, which should have been clearly communicated at the time of check-in.
To top it off, the behavior of the staff—especially at the front desk—was unprofessional and rude. They lacked basic customer service skills and seemed to have an unnecessary attitude. The hotel seriously needs to invest in training or hiring more professional and courteous staff.
Overall, it was a very bad experience, both in terms of accommodation and service. There are definitely better properties available in Zone-2, Bhopal. I would recommend exploring other options.
