I am currently staying at Ginger Hotel Diu from 27th to 29th August 2025 Unfortunately, on the very first day of my stay, I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience with the swimming pool facility and staff response.
The swimming pool was extremely dusty, the water level was only 80%, and almost 80% of the pool was covered with algae in down side, making it completely unhygienic for use. It looked more like a poorly maintained local water park than a hotel facility.
When I raised the issue with the security, I was told someone would come in 5 minutes. However, even after 20 minutes, no one attended.
Later, a lady staff member named Rani, who introduced herself as the manager, assured us the pool would be cleaned. But again, after waiting another 15–20 minutes, no one came, and there was no action or proper response.
When I asked the manager when the pool was last cleaned, she shockingly replied that the cleaning person is on leave today, so no cleaning will be done in the swimming pool. This is unacceptable for a hotel of your reputation.
This kind of negligence and poor service is highly disappointing, especially from a reputed hotel brand like Ginger. I chose Ginger because of its name and reputation, but this experience has left me extremely dissatisfied.
I request you to take immediate action on:
1. Ensuring the swimming pool is cleaned and maintained properly.
2. Training staff to respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints.
3. Providing me with an explanation and compensation for this inconvenience during my stay.
If the matter is not addressed promptly, I will be forced to escalate this complaint further.
