Review Of Gateway Bekal

We had an excellent stay at gateway bekal. We went to celebrate our anniversary and the staff at gateway bekal made it extra special by decorating our room with cake and chocolates. Each and every staff was good with a warm smile always taking care that we are always comfortable. The food was also very good with the chef personally coming and enquiring with the guests. The cottages were very clean and spacious. The property was amazing. My son had fun with the kite flying and bird watching sessions. Overall fantastic experience. Will highly recommend

The property is expansive and features lush gardens, a clean and well-maintained pool. We took a Premium Cottages with private Jacuzzi with a view of gardens, a biodiversity lake, or the backwaters, my kids just enjoyed 2 nights we spent in this property

Gateway property is very good location for family and friend vacation, food is fantastic and facilities are very good, .

excellent gateway! location is unique. food was awesome. service was excellent. everything was so good. But activities like boating and cricket are rendered at inflated rates.

Room stay was very good and it was clean & tidy. Food spread was nicely chosen but the quality of the food was missing. There was only one local cuisine and I wouldn’t count the taste of it. We requested for some local cuisine but they called back saying not possible to make it. We had an emergency where we called for ice and it was not delivered at all. We had to walk to the restaurant and take it. Room service was pathetic.

Wonderful stay at the Gateway Bekal for a family of 4. The location in nice with walkable distance to the nearest beach. Rooms are huge and accommodated 4 members easily in one room, swiming pool was heated and clean, food could have been better, staffs were very helpful, the parking distance and wait for the valet was a bit disappointing. Overall a great stay.

Great place, very hospitable staff. Amazing location. Food is great esp the Onam Sandhya. Spa is awesome and so are the facilities

Our stay at gateway Bekal was excellent as soon we checked in the staff was very friendly especially abdul(receptionist) . While dinning we had wonderful food n ambiance thank you Priyanka for taking care of us when we dint feel good with food u assured us everything is good for us thank you very much

Beautiful place location is superb ambience is so good that u can’t discribe The places superb that no words to say, but I will say that the amenity is still at the high-level that you feel like going once again, staff for so well trained and well clean and well disciplined 80s, I can say that really beautiful stay which I found in, thank you

The resort in itself is FaB to stay...lot of activities within the resort to engage yourself with.... Local site seeing possibilities are also there where your kids can enjoy.... Point to keep in mind: This is a heavily dominated area and no major road lights available, so it gets Dark post 7....hence Night Life outside the resort is absolutely Zero.... Taj Bekal-3kms away, have a private beach and they allow Gateway Bekal guests to enjoy themselves there.

Everything was excellent. Specially the service and receiving/ reception staff Diviya was very helpful

The rooms were comfortable and clean. However There was construction work going on near our rooms. Also the lobby isn’t air conditioned which is a bit unexpected from the taj. Food was good. The guest facing staff may need a bit more training although the manager was understanding and helpful

Overall experience was mixed. We went for 2 nights stay for my husband’s birthday celebration. First of all there was no decoration in the room though it was especially requested. But the room was good and amenities as expected. However on day 2 we requested for an upgrade (at additional cost) to cottage with jacuzzi which is the best category in the resort and the entire experience was bad. Had to call multiple times to get the room changed and there was a huge delay. And then basic amenities like hot water were not provided, which was fixed later in afternoon but same issue repeated at night. Even the TV was not working which we realized later and entire day was spent in complaining and getting issues fixed. Overall it seemed like we were downgraded instead of an upgrade. Also food is quite expensive but taste is good.

Beautiful River front expansive property with a lot of in house activities to keep you and your family engaged. Friendly attentive staff. The breakfast is very good with the service in the restaurant even better- We were really impressed with the hospitality provided by Priyanka at the restaurant. The river front rooms are the best. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasant stay. The property is huge and wonderful, located right beside the backwaters, water activities are available right inside the hotel. The ambiance, hotel staff , hospitality, breakfast spread all were top notch and amazing.

Our stay at Gateway Bekal was honestly disappointing. The property still feels like it’s being built up and not everything is working properly. They do not disclose this on the websites that they are listed on. The food was below expectations – both dinner and breakfast were not great in terms of taste or quality, and the breakfast spread was especially poor. The staff didn’t make things better either – we found them rude and unhelpful, particularly at the swimming pool where the behavior was uncomfortable. They advertise a lot of activities, but in reality, there isn’t much to do on-site. Instead, they tell you to travel to the Taj nearby (around 5 km away) for activities, which was quite frustrating. Overall, definitely not the experience we expected from a property under this brand.
