Gateway Bekal

Our stay at Gateway Bekal was honestly disappointing. The property still feels like it’s being built up and not everything is working properly. They do not disclose this on the websites that they are listed on. The food was below expectations – both dinner and breakfast were not great in terms of taste or quality, and the breakfast spread was especially poor. The staff didn’t make things better either – we found them rude and unhelpful, particularly at the swimming pool where the behavior was uncomfortable. They advertise a lot of activities, but in reality, there isn’t much to do on-site. Instead, they tell you to travel to the Taj nearby (around 5 km away) for activities, which was quite frustrating. Overall, definitely not the experience we expected from a property under this brand.

Our stay at the Gateway in Bekal was absolutely wonderful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The scenic property is breathtaking, with beautiful backwaters and picture perfect arrangement of villas with gardens that create a truly serene atmosphere. What really made our experience special, was the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. A special thank you to Priyanka, who went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Her exceptional service truly enhanced our stay. Indrajit helped us upgrade our 2 rooms to a 2 Bedroom villa for a small amount which was one of the best things. Not to forget about the delicious Sadya we had there, on the auspicious occasion of Onam. We loved our time here and can't wait to return.

Had an amazing and luxurious stay at Gateway Bekal this August. It was our 5th wedding anniversary and the team went out of their way to make our time special- they gave us a free room upgrade and a surprise anniversary cake as well. It was really so thoughtful of Shilshi and her team. Shilshi was also super warm and welcoming and ensured she kept checking in with us to see if our stay was satisfactory. The property is massive and the rooms are luxurious and well appointed. We had free hi tea at 4.30 pm and the snacks and drinks provided were really tasty. Breakfast was also great. Overall had a wonderful stay here and it was an anniversary to remember!

It was an absolute delight staying at Gateway Bekal Hotel! From the moment we stepped in, we experienced exceptional hospitality and warm service. The staff were attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views. The property is very new and fresh. Pool was very nice. But what truly stood out was the delicious food! The culinary team at the restaurant, particularly Abhishek, did an amazing job of serving up mouth-watering dishes that exceeded our expectations. Special shoutout to Abdul at the reception - his friendly demeanor and efficiency made our check-in process seamless. His willingness to help and answer queries was truly appreciated. Overall, our stay at Gateway Bekal Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Kudos to the entire team for their hard work and dedication. Would love to visit again!

5/5 Stars – An Unforgettable Experience! We had an absolutely amazing time at this resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were escorted to a beautifully clean and spacious room with a stunning view. Special “thanks” to Vinaya (staff at the reception). The resort grounds were lush greenery; pristine pools and every corner felt like paradise! The food was another highlight. The breakfast buffet was impressive. What really stood out was the exceptional service. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect. Not able to experience the outdoor activity due to heavy rain. Stay was refreshing, relaxed, and already dreaming of my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway! Special “thanks” to Priyanka, Chitra, Nandhana, Abhishek. I may have missed a few names, but a heartfelt thank you to every staff member who made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Location is excellent. Property over all is well maintained but the activities are a little over priced and dinner options could have been more dynamic. Nevertheless the stay was over all peaceful and appreciate Diviya for being available constantly and making sure everything is smooth.

I had an outstanding stay at Taj Bekal and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences. Right from the check-in, the staff were extremely warm and welcoming, making me feel at home instantly. The room itself was spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. The restaurant experience was equally wonderful. Every meal was delicious, and the restaurant staff stood out with their humility, attentiveness, and genuine care. They not only provided excellent service but also went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed every bit of our dining experience. It’s a very new property. Beautiful and peaceful. Location is very good, near to the beach area and Bekal fort. Spacious rooms. Helping staff. Many activities to explore within the property. And the food is very tasty.. 🙂

Stay was good, clean, people were very hospitable and helpful. I feel food can be better. They do not serve drinks because they don’t have license but they will have it by December.

Gateway bekal is beautifully located property along the backwater. The place gives a sense of calmness and peace far from the city hustle. The staff is very polite and courteous. Food quality is excellent.

Clean and tidy property. Food was good. Little nasty elevator. Food menu seems expensive. Charged extra for in room service also. No proper guidance to facilities and services available in the property. Have to wait more than 30 mins for breakfast since there were too many guests. Not well managed inside the restaurant. Overall good if we don’t expect too much Assalamualaikum it is a star hotel.
