Our experience at The Resort Gateway Bekal was nothing short of delightful. As the saying goes, “well begun is half done,” and from the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm hospitality set the tone for a memorable stay. Everyone we encountered was courteous and attentive — truly, “kindness begets kindness.” To our pleasant surprise, they generously upgraded our room — an unexpected gesture that made us feel right at home. We stayed from June 1st to 4th, and every moment was a breath of fresh air, quite literally! The resort is wrapped in lush greenery, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. “A change is as good as a rest,” and this retreat was both. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a view that could calm even the busiest mind. Nature lovers will be in their element here. There’s no shortage of places to explore nearby — the beach and the historic Bekal Fort are just a stone’s throw away. “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page,” and this chapter was truly worth reading. All in all, our stay was a wonderful blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. “Good things come in small packages,” and Bekal was exactly that — a small place with a big heart.

This was my third visit in just six months, and every single time, Gateway Bekal continues to exceed my expectations. A special and a huge shout-out to Divya from Customer Relations, who has been such a warm and gracious host — always welcoming with a smile and ensuring every detail is taken care of. She truly makes the experience feel personal and memorable. Also went the extra mile with a beautifully decorated birthday surprise. Surrounded by mesmerizing backwaters, just a short 500m walk to the beach, and only 2 km away from the majestic Bekal Fort, this property is nothing short of paradise. What more can one ask for? We stayed at The Gateway Hotel in Bekal for just one night, but the experience was thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing. Although our stay was short, we made the most of the time by exploring the property, enjoying the peaceful ambience, and relishing the delicious food at the in-house restaurant. We’d definitely consider returning for a longer, more relaxed stay in the future to fully experience all that the resort and the surrounding area have to offer.

This was my second visit to the resort, and while I still had a pleasant overall experience, it didn’t quite match the warmth and excellence of my first stay. During my recent visit, I felt the dinner buffet could have been better. There was only one chicken starter available, and the live pasta station wasn’t fully operational. The dessert selection was also a bit underwhelming — popular items like gulab jamun or a warm halwa were missing. That said, I truly appreciated the staff’s kind gesture of offering me a dessert when they noticed my disappointment — it reflected the genuine hospitality I remembered from my first visit. While this visit didn’t live up to the high expectations set by my earlier experience, I still enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider returning. I hope to see the same level of variety and warmth that made my first visit so memorable. Thank you.

I recently stayed at this Gateway Bekal and had an overall pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a good level of comfort for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions. The amenities provided were satisfactory — from the quality of the bedding to the facilities such as the gym or pool. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Gateway, Bekal. The place is stunning and designed really well along one of the backwaters of Bekal. The breakfast and dinner buffets had a variety of options. Food could be slightly improved, however, no complaints. The rooms were well maintained and clean. Must visit for families with children as there are multiple play-areas for kids.

Excellent Backwater property. Beautifully designed lobby and rooms. Staffs are very cordial and quick at service. Swimming pool is quite big and well maintained. Plenty activities for kids to engage themselves. Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend and rate the property. The resort has exceeded our expectation and truly value for money.

A beautiful place next to the Bekal River, with a separate swimming pool for children, a park, a jacuzzi in the room, and separate seating areas at the back of all the cottages. Breakfast was good, but the dinner menu was less extensive than other Gateway Bekals. It felt like a letdown that there were no Kerala dishes for dinner.

it was a nice experience as we booked the premium room but they automatically upgraded our stay to an executive room. Food was delicious and moreover they are promoting local delicacies in buffets. Special thanks to all restaurants people who were always ready to serve with a very big smile especially Mr. Avinash..
