A Mixed Stay at Hotel Downtown Prime Udaipur: Luxury Car Owners Beware!
My recent stay at Hotel Downtown Prime in Udaipur presented a mixed bag of experiences, with some significant drawbacks that prospective guests, particularly those with luxury vehicles, should be aware of.
On the positive side, the hotel staff, on average, demonstrated a cooperative attitude, which was appreciated. However, this positive was unfortunately overshadowed by a deeply frustrating encounter with the valet service. Upon retrieving my Mercedes, I discovered noticeable scratches that were unequivocally not present when I handed over the vehicle. When confronted, the valet staff outright denied any responsibility, which was both unhelpful and disheartening. For any luxury car owner considering this hotel, I strongly advise parking your vehicle yourself or proceeding with extreme caution; there is a distinct risk involved.
Beyond the valet issue, two other significant disturbances impacted the quality of my stay. My room faced directly onto a bank, and I was subjected to loud banging noises emanating from that direction well into the early hours of the morning, often until 2 AM. This severely disrupted my sleep, and unfortunately, there was nothing I could do to mitigate the disturbance. As if that wasn't enough, a rat made an unwelcome appearance in my room around midnight or 1 AM, further adding to the discomfort and significantly disturbing my peace.
While some aspects of the stay were acceptable, the combination of the irresponsible valet service, the incessant noise from the neighboring bank, and the unwelcome rodent visitor made for a far from ideal experience. Potential guests should weigh these factors carefully before booking, especially if a peaceful night's sleep and the safety of their vehicle are priorities.
