Staying at this homestay was truly a wonderful experience. The place felt less like a rented stay and more like a warm, welcoming home. Every corner was thoughtfully maintained—clean, cozy, and peaceful. What really made the experience memorable was the host. From the moment of arrival, the hospitality was genuine and heartfelt. They went out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable, shared helpful local tips, and treated us with so much care that we felt like family. If you’re looking for a stay that combines comfort, charm, and kindness, this is the place to be. Highly recommended and I would love to come back again!

The best stay in Shillong. We stayed at 4 different locations, but Casa Encanto by far was the best!. Excellent amenities and a beautiful homestay. Totally worth the expense.

Review: A Cozy Homestay Experience in Shillong Staying at a traditional homestay in Shillong was like stepping into a postcard. The house, a classic Khasi-style wooden home with a sloping tin roof, was warm and full of charm. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, making us feel more like a guest in their home than a visitor. The highlight was the beautiful garden—lush with petunias, pansies ans many more . I spent peaceful mornings on the verandah, sipping tea and soaking in the sweeping views of misty hills and valleys. Inside, the home was cozy with wooden floors, woven rugs, and thoughtful touches. Breakfast was homemade and simple but good . We could order dinner from Swiggy .Evenings were quiet and calming, with the cool air. If you’re looking to truly experience the heart of Shillong, this homestay offers the perfect mix of nature, culture, and homey comfort.

location is a challenge, distance reflecting in the app is incorrect u dnt get Dinner after 7:30 pm - swiggy , zomato only option. this is a homestay with inverter backup so geyser, room heater doesnt work without electricity.

The stay is a comfortable one with aesthetically pleasing decor. The rooms are big, clean with strong wifi, water and electricity. The breakfast is good and is served earlier than many stays which is a plus for travellers who want to leave early. The property hosts are very welcoming and warm adding to the hospitality. Rest of shillong is easily accessible.

Beautiful and cozy homestay. Very clean and well maintained. The caretaker k aping and his brother were great, made excellent breakfast and home cooked meals. Really made my stay very comfortable.

The property is located in a very narrow place, which is available in the google map but difficult for self driving as roads are very narrow and steep. Only free breakfast is provided. Sandwich always, rest you have to manage from swiggy. Tv, wifi, cooler etc are available in good condition. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. There is only one guy to serve you but when there is no food. What service one need. So overall it was an average stay.

The best one i had ever, clean, good and very ready to help staffs, not far away from the city, looks very pose but budget friendly. The only problem could be parking if you come with a big car, i could managed.

One of the best homestays and hosts in Shillong! The property itself is beautiful, dotted with many flowers and plants around and a beautiful lawn overlooking the entrance and rooms! The room is spacious and clean! The host Kaping is extremely friendly and sweet! He even fixed us an amazing breakfast on the day of our checkout so that we don’t get late and don’t get out hungry! All in all a 5 🌟 stay

Nice place to stay with family, neat and clean, nicely decorated with wooden flooring. Lidiya and all the staff are very supportive. We will come back again. Only cons it is very inside the lane.
