We had a great stay. The staff was exceptionally well and cooperative. Food was top notch. Stay was comfortable.

Very nice property, nice ambience, very humble staff. Reached pretty late in night where in people were there to assist us. One drawback i would say is that the kitchen is not available after 2230. Though staff offered to precook the meal and keep it for us but that didn’t make sense because we were expecting to reach by 0030

Overrated property, very average experience. Staff at restaurant is good but otherwise they do nothing to elevate your experience. Excellent surroundings and property but an overall disappointing experience. Food is a mixed bag. Staff should be trained to match the experience that a five star is expected to deliver. Room was big but not well maintained - the poster bed was broken. All kid meals are chargeable- even for kids under 6. Really don’t know how it’s rated at 9. 7 - i had a much better experience at the raddison which is priced the same.

Good Stay

The location is fabulous facing the mountains. Evenings are great, you can sit in the garden area, have tea biscuits with music. Staff and food was great. Highly recommend

Lovely and comfortable place to be beautiful scenic surroundings calming lovely staff, very helpful, polite and punctual and food, 200 extra marks for the chef it is really delicious, if this is coming out of the mouth of a person who is non foody, then please understand how delicious it must have been

The hotel is very well located. It is right in the centre of dharamshala. The hotel has a very huge open area and good view of the dhauladhar mountains. The staff of the hotel is very helpful and cooperative. They try to make the guests happy. The negative thing about this hotel is that the rooms are very small which makes it very difficult to have room service. The rooms are very basic for the price that they are charging. The place is filled with history but there are no signages highlighting history. Maybe some audio visual tour of the history of the place can be arranged.

Green property with old world charm

Beautiful property with lovely gardens and view. The cottages had an old world charm being part of the viceroys home in days gone by. Friendly staff. Food was good though not great. They don't have a liquor license so carry your own alcohol. Plenty of birds and a tea garden adjacent to walk around.
