Good hostel & Atmosphere, but Poor Basic Facilities
I recently stayed here and had a mixed experience. The check-in process was frustrating, as neither the Wi-Fi nor mobile network were working, which made things quite inconvenient. On top of that, the lift was not functional, so moving up and down 2–3 floors by stairs was tiring. On the positive side, the food was good, and I also had the chance to meet some wonderful people and enjoy a great evening party. The room, bed, and washroom were clean and comfortable, which added to the overall stay. However, the biggest drawback was that there was no water available in the washrooms in the morning, which caused a lot of trouble. Overall, while I appreciated the food, room comfort, and social atmosphere, the basic facilities like Wi-Fi, lift, and water supply really need improvement.

Average Stay
The check-in process is too cumbersome, and every time you place a food order, you’re required to pay immediately (even if you order one piece of bread) which feels inefficient. The overall processes could be made more customer-friendly, instead of frustrating guests right from the start. Additionally, the food served at the restaurant was average. There’s also no one available on the property on call to help if you face issues—you’re asked to provide your email ID every single time, which I honestly didn’t understand. I’ve never encountered this anywhere else.

Good stay
Rooms were clean but the hostel is appropriate for families. Food was not that good. Can be improved.

Excellent Stay
I stayed at The Hosteller, Kasauli, for the very first time. Needless to say, the stay was lovely. The staff were extremely welcoming and sweet, and they made sure to make me feel at home from the moment I entered the property. The food, the view and the ambience of the building was also worth it! I had earlier planned to stay for only 2 nights, but after being here for just one night, I decided to extend my trip here. Safe to say, it’s one of the most amazing places if you’re looking for peace. See you again!

Amazing stay experience
I recently stayed at the Hosteller Kasauli and had a fantastic experience. The place strikes a perfect balance between comfort, affordability, and community vibes. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with cozy beds and secure lockers. Common areas like the restaurant and rooftop were great for socialising and relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to offer tips on local attractions and food joints. The in-house café served surprisingly good food at reasonable prices. If you're a solo traveler or backpacker looking for a friendly and budget-friendly place to stay, I highly recommend Hosteller. It’s more than just a place to sleep — it’s a community.
