Worst customer service. Room condition were terrible. Rude behaviour by the owner and lots many things happen. I would recommend to all, please think twice and thrice before doing booing to this hotel

Room service is very very poor hot water is not available for bathing

Lodge is off the main road, slightly inside from the main road. Lodge has no generator so when the electricity is gone, only bulbs will work.

We visited on 13th to 15th July, our experience was really good, staff is really polite and helpful, faster service, delicious food, really close to main dwar of mata vaishno devi yatra. Pick and drop service from station and hotel to station is plus point. highly recommended

The staff's behaviour was good, the rooms were neat and clean, the restaurant food was cheap and good, owner shidhant was very cooperative 4 star out of 5, still they could provide some basic accessories in that price like hand wash, moisturizer, tooth paste. Etc it will cost around 50 rs i hope, overall good experience, we can prefer this one

Pros the room, beds, washrooms and hotel otherwise were neat and clean. Staff was quite suppotive, food purchased at shalimar bhawan (restaurat of same hotel owner beside hotel) was also delicious. The staff helped by giving his postpaid number on rent at nominal charges of 50 rupees per day. They also have pick and drop facility from railway station in omni van, at same price as of auto over there. Cons don't keep your bags in reception inverter room if you have something expensive in it. When we kept our two bags (with my dslr in it) in inverter room after our checkout and went to market, my mother who was sitting at reception sofa (just outside inverter room, observed suspicious activity. 3 boys entered into that room and before they could have checked our bags, my mom brought the bags out and kept bags with her, and those boys also went immediately outside of hotel after this. So, may be we are not right but 3 guyz coming in pretending doing nothing, didn't answer my mothers question e properly and left the room as a bags were out, was a bit suspicious for us. Apart from this incident, all went well and the hotel was value for money paid.

My stay in this hotel was very comfortable, i choose a room with 2 beds for 5 people and i got the same, room size was large and it was clean, i got parking space for my car, staff was good. Excellent experience.

Located on a narrow road. rooms are very small and stinky. Staff at reception is not cooperative. food is served from a nearby dhaba. overall unhygienic. not recommended.

I didn't experience any safety related issues during my 4 days stay. It is located on the way to the vaishno devi entrance and registration counter. Restaurants and all the necessary things are available in the adjacent shops.

First of all it was a lodge not a Hotel hence once can expect what kind of experience you will get. listing few down 1-Room was on 2nd floor with no Lift hence you have to do up & down with luggage & all kind of tiredness from yatra 2- Bedsheets & Towels were literally dirty like unwashed 3- No Hot water 4- Lodge was in a shady lane , was not feeling safe with family 5- No additional amenities was there in room 6- No check out no one helped in taking luggage down

Hygenity, staff behaviour and food all are excellent. We've stayed there for 2 days, staff was prompt on service, well cleaned rooms and excellent food. In addition you can purchase dry fruits and kashmere shawls nearby this lodge. Situated near banganga(600 mots from the check post) and 1. 8 km from railway station. Overall its right place if you're looking for budget accommodation in katra.

Staff was very generous. And helpful. I will recommend people to visit this lodge. We stayed for three days and also booked car for local sight seeing. Very good experience.

Had an excellent experience staying at shalimar lodge. Highly recommendable. The staff took extra efforts just to make you feel comfortable. And surely nice location.
