We stayed at the Jal Mahal Cottage and I highly recommend the stay there for its location and service. The place is just beautiful and surrounded by lush green on a lake. The food service is also par excellence and delivered in the most sustainale form. Highly recommend.

It's isolated place where in emergency you can't do anything. You are left alone in Cottage in buffer jungle where no attendant is there. No network coverage is there. Somewhere you get JIO connectivity. When ever you need anything you have to call them and they will send food or other things. You car is parked at Rukhad Retreat Resort. Being 15th Aug , they wanted us to check out as early as possible. So I called them at 10.30am to send vehicle to pick us up so that we can check out but no one picked the call. Called more than 10 times but the Manager, was not picking the phone. We were struck up there alone in forest with no way to leave the place. Only one number they give you is of out as we were helpless as we can't walk back with our luggage in jungle nor their was any other way to contact anyone. Some how I got network and searched number of retreat restaurant and called them telling that we are struck here. They arranged to sent a vehicle to get us back. Seems was drunk and not picking up phone of anyone. experience. Don't think will go there again. Place is good , location is good, structure , room fittings are old. lot of insects and ants in room. I was lucky enough to somehow manage to get restaurant number to contact them but they weren't worried about their guests. Nobody tried to contact us.

It was Amazing experience! Hotel staff was too good and food was awesome and great hospitality all were clean and neat well organised well maintained..please do visit feels some costly but overall you may obtain sukooonnn😀😍😁thank you so much for lovely experience..

This is not suitable property for family with kids... You can be in a jungle with limited facilities no network limited access with other people if you love jungle and enjoy loneliness then this is a must visit place. Managers are very helpful and Co operative.

We embarked on two safaris, exploring **Teliya** and **Karmajhiri**, booked through the Madhya Pradesh government’s website. However, we found that spending more time at the cottage, soaking in its serene beauty, was more rejuvenating. Great place for those who want the wild camp feel. Surrounded by forests and it's animals. A dedicated team who love the animals around them and really try to make your trip a memorable one.

Thrilling experience at lakeside camp! the manager and staff very cordial. Food is excellent. Took a trip to daldali camp and it is marvelous and situated inside buffer zone.

Our stay is rukhad was awesome, it was calm and serene. Due to lack of interest it gave us time to unwind and have a great talk with each other. The food too was great and very tasty. Would definitely be visiting again.

The property of Jalmahal Rukhad Jungle Camp was amazing,We were able to spot some deers from our room balcony which was amazing and a unique experience for us. It was a serene experience. We stayed at daldali machan wherein we were the only ones present. We visited during full moon nights and could see the forest and the lake draped in silver moonlight. We were greeted by deers in the mornings and woke up to the call of the birds. The food was homely and tasty. The hospitality was warm.

It’s a perfect stay for any one who loves nature, bring a book and soak in the nature. Not for some one who loves many events and features. It’s in the buffer zone and the team is very helpful, we had safaris in touria which is 30mins away, they arranged everything and ensured we reached on time. Food is available at near by bison retreat you can either go there or have it served at the room. Very helpful staff - keep up the good work.

The location of the jal mahal cottages are fantastic right on the banks of the water body. The place is clean and adequately equipped for 2 to 3 nights of stay. The sleeping arrangements are good. The bathroom is clean but could be better lit. The bathroom is not equipped with a hairdryer. The toiletries could have been replenished. In terms of the room it doesn't come with wifi as mentioned. As the cottages are in the buffer zone area there is no phone network. Therefore some connectivity in the room would have a good feature. The service from the staff is decent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner gets delivered to your room or you can go and eat at the restaurant (bison treat) the choice is yours. Food if it's included in the package is sufficient and very decent in quantity. The variety of food is usual which is found in such remote areas but quality is very good and freshly made. Overall a good stay for those wanting to absorb the experience of staying inside a jungle.
