Stayed at rukhad jungle camp- pench wildlife sanctuary on 14&15 dc 23. First night i stayed in their jal mahal room which is inside the rukhad buffer zone overlooking a large water body. The room was cosy and tastefully done, bed was super comfy and the sit out was the highlight. Dinner was arranged at the machan and the variety and taste was excellent. Staff attending to us were very polite and being locals they had lots of interesting stories to share. Second night i stayed at their daldali machan unit which is a two level two room setup further inside the rukhad buffer zone, this place was the best jungle stay experience i have ever had so far. The rooms are on the banks of a large water body and there is complete seclusion from civilization, the only sounds you hear are of the jungle. I got to see a family of sambar deer, spotted deer, many different birds and also calls of wild dogs and a stranger meowing from deep within the jungle. If you enjoy the thrill of wildlife this place is a must have experience. Overall the rukhad camp is an excellent place to stay in pench wildfire sanctuary.

The location of the jal mahal cottages are fantastic right on the banks of the water body. The place is clean and adequately equipped for 2 to 3 nights of stay. The sleeping arrangements are good. The bathroom is clean but could be better lit. The bathroom is not equipped with a hairdryer. The toiletries could have been replenished. In terms of the room it doesn't come with wifi as mentioned. As the cottages are in the buffer zone area there is no phone network. Therefore some connectivity in the room would have a good feature. The service from the staff is decent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner gets delivered to your room or you can go and eat at the restaurant (bison treat) the choice is yours. Food if it's included in the package is sufficient and very decent in quantity. The variety of food is usual which is found in such remote areas but quality is very good and freshly made. Overall a good stay for those wanting to absorb the experience of staying inside a jungle.

It’s a perfect stay for any one who loves nature, bring a book and soak in the nature. Not for some one who loves many events and features. It’s in the buffer zone and the team is very helpful, we had safaris in touria which is 30mins away, they arranged everything and ensured we reached on time. Food is available at near by bison retreat you can either go there or have it served at the room. Very helpful staff - keep up the good work.

The property of Jalmahal Rukhad Jungle Camp was amazing,We were able to spot some deers from our room balcony which was amazing and a unique experience for us. It was a serene experience. We stayed at daldali machan wherein we were the only ones present. We visited during full moon nights and could see the forest and the lake draped in silver moonlight. We were greeted by deers in the mornings and woke up to the call of the birds. The food was homely and tasty. The hospitality was warm.

Our stay is rukhad was awesome, it was calm and serene. Due to lack of interest it gave us time to unwind and have a great talk with each other. The food too was great and very tasty. Would definitely be visiting again.

Great place for those who want the wild camp feel. Surrounded by forests and it's animals. A dedicated team who love the animals around them and really try to make your trip a memorable one.
