I brought my elderly mother along to Ranthambhore, for her to enjoy a trip into the wild. It turned out to be an excellent trip. Not only did we see a lot of tigers, we also enjoyed a great stay at the Moustache. It’s a small place, and has only 6 rooms, but the rooms are nice and the property is situated in a quiet area adjoining the national park. The food (we had breakfast on two days) was nice, hot and fresh, and the staff, led by Kunal was warm and hospitable. The hotel is also just about 5-7 minutes from Gates 1-5 of the park, so it is quite convenient. The only little issue is that none of the safari drivers know the place, so they don’t always find the place. But that is a minor quibble. It is a very good property, especially if ypu get a deal. If you want a lively place though, this isn’t it. If you want, peace, this is great. The pool seems nice, though we didn’t use it.
