Review Of Hotel The White Yak

An excellent service in all fronts i.e., cleanliness,food, room services, staff behaviour and their dedication towards work assigned to them. Recommend person (s) visiting Leh, unhesitantly book their stay in Hotel White Yak and enjoy tension free adventure/tour.

There were bed bugs in the room. The hotel and bedsheet was not clean. The breakfast was not served on time.

Hotel was good , ambience was good , staff is cooperative , food was good , my overall experience was very good

Geyser is not working while we want to take bath on morning

Good location but rooms and kitchen were dirty. Also no hot water. You will get only for few hours in the morning

No lift, no 24 hrs. Hot water supply. Food quality boring and monotonous. In breakfast they have a standard menu of aloo paratha, upma, poha and bread omelette. Although the room size is big, there is no proper cupboard and table to keep your things. It is not a hotel but more of a dharmshala.

Staff are very friendly and very responsive. Very good breakfast options. Helped me renting a good bike. Hotel situated near leh market and value for money.

We stayed for second time in our trip, after coming back from nubra and pangong. The room was spacious and comfortable. They also provide extra blankets in the cupboard. We used that along with the comforter on the bed. It was quite cold, even snowed in the afternoon. But we did not face any trouble in the room, due to heated beds and electric kettle. Food was delicious. The staff is courteous. Wifi is great. Hot water is available. Toilets are modern and clean. Only thing i want to recommend is they can install an ro water purifier to provide drinking water. Coming from a metro city, we aren't used to drinking ground water. So we end up buying bottled water. Overall, definitely recommend for a comfortable stay in leh, especially with family.

Initially it might feel a bit expensive. But considering the extreme cold weather, the amenities such as electric kettle and bed heater are definitely needed and the cost gets justified. The room was spacious. The wifi was great. Buffet breakfast and dinner were tasty and healthy. Had lots of poha and upma. Location is convenient. About 15 minutes from the airport via taxi. Dragon super market is right opposite, so most of the groceries stuff is available there. Main market is about 15-20 minutes walking (considering we have to walk very slowly at that altitude and sloped road. The road outside the hotel is pretty steep slope. Would recommend taking the small lane behind dragon supermarket, to reach the main market, since it has less slope.

Experience is good rooms are a very meet and clean and food quality is very good

We got a stinking room while checking. After continuous request we got our room changed. No water supply in the room. For water we need to call receiption and they would send the hot water bucket. This service is allowed only after 7am. If u need water before that, we should personally go and get it from first floor. There's no proper room heating system available. Blanket heaters are not that affective. Check out time is 8am and we were asked to vacate our room by 10am. We requested them that we will vacate at 11am as our flight time is 1:30pm. We also said we will pay late check out charges but they are adement and asked to vacate at 10am. So before booking this hotel, look for some better options

The hotel was good but the availability of hot / normal water was not available

No hot water facilities in winter (temperature -8 c. Dirty rooms, dirty washroom, dirty kitchen. Please do not stay at this hotel, it may be cheap but it's not worth.

Best thing about property is food. I liked the buffet dinner and breakfast. Lovely food bad thing is rooms and bathroom's cleanliness and hygiene. They don't provide clean water for drinking as well. Only thing available is hot water for bath

The hotel is located near to the leh old market, it hardly took 5min by walk to reach leh main market. Also the hotel is within 5km of airport
