We (family of 4) stayed in prithvi palace over the weekend from 12th to 13th aug on the ground floor. Positives:
the rooms are big and spacious and seemed clean. The beds were nice as well. All the items in complimentary breakfast (pure veg) were delicious. Negatives:
the bathroom could be better. There was an odd smell, a sort of damp stuffy smell in the room/bathroom, the smell however dissipated once the ac was switched on for a while. The bathroom also lacked hot water which came as a shock, and we had to take showers in cold water. On request they provided us with an electric heating rod to heat the water in a bucket. The room also had a lot of mosquitoes and unfortunately no mosquito repellant to keep them away. We lit a couple of incense sticks to keep them away. The tv in room had no channels. On enquiring with the reception, it was apparently an issue from the provider side. On the positive side, it is a smart tv so you can try logging into your streaming services to watch some tv if you have any active subscriptions that is. But it can become a little tedious logging out of the service or navigating it with the remote. Anyways, on the whole was left disappointed with the accommodation
