Review Of Gouri Heritage Haveli (Guest House)

Gouri Heritage Haveli was extremely easy to locate using Google Maps, and the location was perfect in the old city. It took just 10 mins to walk up to Meherangarh Fort on the walking path. While offering budget accommodation. The hotel did not compromise on cleanliness. The room, including the bathroom, and the linen was clean and fresh. Most importantly, Vikram is a kind and gentle man, and he makes sure you're well cared for. The haveli in itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Indigo restaurant on the rooftop (with a stunning view of the fort). This stay was a home away from home. We couldn't have asked for more.

Room is beautiful, clean and service is good foods are tasty. Stuffs are helpful only issue is they had some payment issue with make my trip and they have told all this to us.

My experience was overall good. Location of the guest house is nice as 20 min walk will take you directly to the palace. Room was clean but no soap, shampoo etc. Were provided. We had our lunch and dinner outside so do not have any idea about food. Overall the stay was good but I think price was little high.

Room was good, clean and well maintained. They have very small restaurant which is on roof top and from where you can see mehrangarh fort. The food is good and the staff is very cooperative. They will guide you for important places and markets to visit. Overall worth spending .. The only 1 demerit is the location only for those who are travelling by car as there is not much space to drive.

Service is good on the reception, rooms are not that great but people with less budget can make it here. Food quality is not good it is good to have food on streets. No card facilities. This needs lots of improvement.

The room wasn't cleaned properly. The rooms however was nice looking (if only they cleaned it well). Also, the blanket didn't have a cover which means that you are sleeping in what other people have slept in. The floor was dusty and the fan was really dirty. When I turned it on, a lot of dust fell on the bed. The bathroom did not have any soap etc. They gave me a toilet paper roll and two towels. The couches were also old and tattered. They could be polished and made to look clean.

The pros; the hotel is in a great location, very close to the clock tower and the bazaar. The room is huge, with working aircon and hot water. The cons: the haveli is really old, so all the furniture, the toilet and everything around. Internet not working at all. Service very slow, at 8 am people were still sleeping in the rooftop restaurant, on the day we left at 6 am we had to open the gate by ourselves because no one was around. OK value for the money if you get a good offer, not full rate.

Pros: Nice hotel and location. We even got free upgrade to their suite room. 24 hours hot and cold water. Being off season parking was available right outside the gate. Staff was very courteous and quick. Cons: Intercom and TV not working due to rains. No in house kitchen for snacks. Only tea was available. The staff was not available during morning checkout in spite of our repeated phone calls to him. We somehow managed to open the gate and leave. Left tips and payment for tea in an envelope under the door of the office. Okay stay overall. Can be made better by the owners.

This is a fantastic place to stay with family or friends, I can say that if you book this hotel it mean you know value of money. Gouri's supervisor Ramesh ji is very kind person, any time helpful but their staff is little bit nonsense, anyway go and enjoy a lot.
