The location and view was excellent. The food was excellent and the vegetarian selection was superb, particularly the local Garhwali cuisine. The mooli ki sabji was a love at first taste for my husband, a diehard non veg from soul, heart and gut.😀 A special mention of the warmth and care of the head chef, Naveen and his assistant Sumit who acquainted us with jhakiya, the Garhwali tadka masala, which I was most curious to meet, given that it had radically changed my husband's taste for vegetarian cuisine 😋. The check in and check out process was the only complaint I have. We had requested an early check-in but didn't get it. We weren't even offered a welcome drink or water and I fell asleep on the sofa as I was so tired. Finally was given a room on a different floor. The check out was worse if possible. In spite of having made the full payment two weeks in advance, I was asked to pay again as their system was not showing payment through the MakeMyTrip app portal. Finally they sorted it out but after unnecessary delay which could have been avoided. The front office and reception staff need to be more efficient.
