Bishnupur Riverside Resort: A NIGHTMARE - AVOID!

My wife and I stayed at Bishnupur Riverside Resort on April 5-6, 2025, and it was a horrific experience. The resort was severely understaffed, leading to abysmal service. The food was overpriced and poor quality, causing my wife to fall ill. The pool was filthy and unusable. Our room had a severe cockroach infestation in the toilet, which the unconcerned manager, dismissed. Despite initially agreeing to a late checkout due to my wife's illness, the caretaker, abruptly forced us out, denying my sick wife access to the room and even taking away blankets. The bill was including charges for food we didn't have and lacking proper GST details. The caretaker became aggressive and threatened us when we questioned it, admitting they lacked necessary licenses. We were effectively held hostage until we paid the incorrect amount. The ordeal escalated after checkout. . Due to this terrifying experience, we missed our train and incurred extra travel costs. Bishnupur Riverside Resort is operating dangerously AVOID THIS RESORT AT ALL COSTS! Your safety is at risk.

Dear Mr. Pritam Guha, Hope you are feeling relaxed after giving such bad review against our entire team. First answer my question: Are you married at all? Our register have no proof of that. Your surnames are different and you did not provide any marriage certificate photo-copy. You and your girlfriend (not wife) come to my resort on 5th April 2025 and book a room for one day. So on 6th April 2025 at 10:30 am you have to leave the room. Instead of check out, you and your girlfriend are occupying the room upto 1:15 pm and then after leaving the room and sitting on the sofa in lobby you are taking the pillow and blanket from our room to relax, Why sir? You don’t know the rules of our resort. Secondly why you write in your review that our room has lots of cockroaches. Our rooms are fully cleaned and your words are false. Your girlfriend want drink several times and threatened us for not to pay the bills. This attitude of you does not show your good behaviour. According to your words, your wife became ill. If she was ill, then how can she go to the kitchen and misbehaved with my staffs and want for drink. Just let me remind you drink is not a medicine.

All together it’s a peaceful stay . Clean room and friendly staff . Off beat place to stay. Food price is little high due to remote location. You won’t get much option of food . Room size was mentioned 3300sqft but actually it was not that big .

Resort is excellent and very hygienic, location is also good for a relax stay no disturbance. The only thing is that the road is good village road but there is a bridge which is broken and it is a beat dangerous. Staff behaviour is undoubtedly excellent, food is a bit expensive but quality is very good. Overall experience is excellent.

familyProperty is at a very very isolated place. Managed well. Rooms not spacious. food is ok ok but very costly. And no nearby restaurants available. For milk and other commodities u have to order in a day advance. But the people managing there are very good and homely type. The cook jyutsna cooks food as per your need. She is a good cook and caretaker ram also very decent. But according to price the rooms need to be large or food should have been complimentary

familyThere is nothing is there no money for diesel for generator without light, AC not working. Nothing is there high price food one egg is ₹70. They are total cheater and owner. One of the ladies is there she is horrible. Don’t go this property if you go there, so you think you are in Central jail. not working lady honour lady is horrible. Working staff is very good. They are poor people, but they don’t have money for buy some diesel. Buy some fruit. Buy some vegetable. Nothing & and one more thing, owner don’t give food, their worker. The owner like as a Hitler is a jailer, disgusting, horrible lady, no manners, how to talk like that she need only money.
