Santiniketan Retreat, Bolpur

The location enveloped by lovely greenery is enchanting. We really enjoyed our stay during our two days of stay there. The hospitality was excellent with very courteous staff behavior. Food quality has been super. Overall it is an excellent resort for a short vacation.

The food was average, the room was spacious, expected a bathtub and better toiletries. The staff behaviour was not very professional.

Though it was a bit remote yet no problem in the availablity of Toto or ready vehicle for roaming about. All services including food beautiful campus room furniture pool swings plants ambiance in general and helping staff in particular was very nice soothing and made our stay sooo comfortable that we didn't want to leave the place.... But we had our return journey.

We stayed for 2 nights in the weekend. The location, ambience all are very attractive. The behaviour of the staff was amazing. the complimentary breakfast was superb. The taste of foods served by "Bhojanshala"was good. They have also arranged Baul songs on Saturday and we enjoyed it. We had a great stay. We would love to visit the place again.

my experience was good. well maintained campus with simple food and staff behaviour was good. room was clean. hygiene was properly maintained.

I had booked for a night as I had planned a short trip to visit Vishwa Bharati University. Well despite my pre booking, and my call on me landing at Kolkata Airport, my room wasn’t cleaned especially the toilet. Also the person at the Reception Desk seemed to be too “ mechanical “ in his job lacking his human side. The plug points in the room don’t work. Thank God I stayed for a night. Overall, the property is good but the management is poor! Hope the people change.

food quality is not good. Accommodation and ambience is too good. Staff service is not good. I asked for a extra pillow but they forgot to give it.

The food was horrible..we got served with cold food in the afternoon. the chicken was cold and hard and obviously stale, the fish was same. Mutton was marginally better. we complained and the same thing was repeated in the evening. never going back

Room ( Gitanjali cottage) is very very small, no cupboard or very less space to place our belongings. 70% of the accessories are not in working condition, Example - intercom, Drawer knobs are broken or not opening, AC remote was not working, however after changing battery it was worked. Food from the in house restaurant is pathetic. No where justified it's price. The coffee / tea served in buffet breakfast is taste so bad compare to same ordered from their menu as a la carte. Only positive is their swimming pool.

My stay was spectacular! The properties elegant design, convenient location, and top-notch amenities made for a truly relaxing experience. The staff were exceptionally attentive and courteous, catering to every need and making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely be back on my next trip to the area. Keep up the good work

Room was not clean.Shower was not working. Exhaust at bathroom was so noisy.Food was horrible. There was no daily cleaning of the rooms. No bedsheets were changed during stay.Behaviour of staff very bad and arrogant.I will never recommend this resort to anyone.

The stay was good with good facilities and all round excellent support from all the staff. The food was also very good with free breakfast for our booking. The property is well maintained.

Excellent stay! 5/5. The superb ambiance and very cooperative staff made our time here fantastic, and the food was good as well. The real highlight for us was staying during Dashami evening ,the Durga Puja they organized created a truly special and memorable evening. It was a wonderful added touch that made the whole experience exceptional.

It was an extraordinary experience during our stay at Shantiniketan retreat. The ambience is superb, food is really good and the behavior of staff and owner were excellent. This is a perfect ten on ten weekend destination. The durga puja celebrations within resort is just amazing and very homely.

Cottage Room is mentioned 600 sqft over d website, however it's much lower.. Then smelly rooms, instead of informing reception it has not been fixed... Ac is not cooling properly, watch was not working... Basically services are not upto the standard as compared to high prices.... Better hotels available at lower rate in proper shantiniketan area.. For anyone visiting here, I wouldn't recommend this...

It's a lovely quite place to stay for an weekend , nice food and staff are very helpful and you get toto in front of gate for your places to visit. Strongly recommend to stay in this property
