Santiniketan Retreat, Bolpur

My stay was spectacular! The properties elegant design, convenient location, and top-notch amenities made for a truly relaxing experience. The staff were exceptionally attentive and courteous, catering to every need and making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely be back on my next trip to the area. Keep up the good work

Room was not clean.Shower was not working. Exhaust at bathroom was so noisy.Food was horrible. There was no daily cleaning of the rooms. No bedsheets were changed during stay.Behaviour of staff very bad and arrogant.I will never recommend this resort to anyone.

The stay was good with good facilities and all round excellent support from all the staff. The food was also very good with free breakfast for our booking. The property is well maintained.

Excellent stay! 5/5. The superb ambiance and very cooperative staff made our time here fantastic, and the food was good as well. The real highlight for us was staying during Dashami evening ,the Durga Puja they organized created a truly special and memorable evening. It was a wonderful added touch that made the whole experience exceptional.

It was an extraordinary experience during our stay at Shantiniketan retreat. The ambience is superb, food is really good and the behavior of staff and owner were excellent. This is a perfect ten on ten weekend destination. The durga puja celebrations within resort is just amazing and very homely.

Cottage Room is mentioned 600 sqft over d website, however it's much lower.. Then smelly rooms, instead of informing reception it has not been fixed... Ac is not cooling properly, watch was not working... Basically services are not upto the standard as compared to high prices.... Better hotels available at lower rate in proper shantiniketan area.. For anyone visiting here, I wouldn't recommend this...

It's a lovely quite place to stay for an weekend , nice food and staff are very helpful and you get toto in front of gate for your places to visit. Strongly recommend to stay in this property

Rooms r too much smelly and service is 3rd class and food also 3rd class quality

The room was albeit small and so was the bed. Other facilities were good enough. The pool too was too small for comfort.

The service was poor, and the food quality did not justify the price. Parking facilities were inadequate, and the hotel staff displayed rude behavior. Additionally, a 10% service charge was levied, which felt unreasonable

1. Infrastructure :- pros - Decent covered swimming pool, ample car park, well-maintained lawn with seating, aesthetic and spacious bedrooms( Sonar Tari - 1, 2). cons - Non-functional geyser not fixed even after informing staff, Non-functional ceiling fan regulator, malfunctioning a.c. without temperature adjustment. 2. Service:- pros - Courteous staff in general. cons - Over worked staff and delayed as well as underwhelming services due to abject under staffing and operational restrictions imposed by the hotel ownerships/management. E.g. denial of bathroom Slippers upon request, denial of request for retaining teapot while having tea in the room, provision of only 1 litter of complimentary drinking water per day in a twin sharing room and refusal to provide more without purchasing etc. 3. Other negatives:- i) Located almost 4kms away from Bolpur, Shantiniketan station by the shortest route, which turns into a river even during light to moderate rainfall. The road is so bumpy and full of potholes that your e-rickshaw is at constant risk of topling over( Do Not pay more than 80- 100 rupees to reach the hotel, although they will try extract much more than that) ii) The hotel is located more than 1km away from the main road by an unpaved and unlit road through a semi-forested area, hence, the only public transport available from the hotel are a couple of e-rickshaws waiting outside the hotel's main gate and happiness by charging two to three times the market rate. We paid for 2 rooms for 3 nights and got this terrible experience. In short, Not Recommended.

Great location,ambience and hospitality. Enjoyed the stay very much.overall very good experience. The food quality was also very good but the pricing was little bit on the higher side.

The property is beautiful with manicured gardens, cozy rooms, spacious dining hall and a Radha Krishna temple. The hosts are really cordial. Visit for a comfortable stay

Had a lovely and rejuvenating experience. Amazing food, rooms and service. Baul performance came as a beautiful surprise to us

The resort was stunning & exquisite. The room was a mixture of traditional and modern fittings and fixtures. I loved my stay in this resort. If you are looking for peace and calm this is the exact destination. My only problem with this resort was their food which was not quite up to the mark.
