Review Of Banyan By The Ganges (74 Kms from Rishikesh)

This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my journey book. The location is really surreal..so peaceful and beautiful. It was Diwali. So I met with the owner and his family. They are warm and genuine, very lovely. Now come to Naresh..The manager. I myself travelled over 15 times in India. Naresh turns the hospitality to next level and beyond. He arranged all the outdoor activities from dawn through the day. Anything I wish he could manage. He's a sweetest man on this earth. His team also very supportive. I love the dining room , good vibes with super delicious food and hygienic. I love it there..I hope I can return someday.

It's worth driving half an hour from the main highway to be in nature's lap beside maa ganga. Excellent customized food, eco friendly AC cottages, kayaking and rafting available, helpful and positive staff, food for drivers, slopes and stairs, suitable for party, events, corporate events etc. Worth spending a weekend away from chaotic cities...

We had booked a two night stay. it is close to 2.5hrs drive from Rishikesh. On the way do visit the Devprayag sangam. Luckily, the major guests were expected the next day so we had the entire resort to us for a day. Highlight of the resort is the location, in the hills, with ganga flowing just in front of you, the huge banyan tree, silence of a forest, some monkeys that will not bother you. it felt like a place where nature and human were coexisting without disturbing each other. The villas were comfortable for night sleep. the resort has good sit outs with the view, beautiful dining area where you can play or read books. Their pet dog Kiwi was friendly and cute. The important part, because there is nothing around is the food. Food was very delicious and made with live. We can feel their warmth in the food preparations and it was overwhelming. All the staff members cared for you and available for help. They took us for nearby trek and visit to waterfall and share the local knowledge and experiences. Happy to have stayed here after all the hustle of Rishikesh. One may feel price is High, but when you see the features of the resort and three time meal, it will work out quite reasonable

Banyan by the gang-es is remote and beautiful. Perfect for avid bird watchers. You will see most himalayan birds, asian paradise fly catcher, plenty of peacocks, jungle fowls, bunting birds, bulbuls ( different species. Food is homely and good. Beware of insects at night. Keep the tent secure. The gang-es is cold even in the heat of summer. There are cool natural water falls above the resort too, where you can actually bathe.

Location is very good, just on the bank of ganga river. Had all three meals at banyan only - food quality is very good. It’s a tented location - some more effort in cleaning would be appreciated. Special mention for mr harish and ankit - organised a wonderful rafting ride in the ganges.

Location is too far from devprayag. Road condition is very bad and is very narrow one. Stay at property is good but one can’t access near by areas easily. Ganga’s views are good and staff is very courteous. Overall it’s good experience. Keep distance and difficult roads in mind while planing for property. Staff person took us for floating inside ganga river which was very good and new experience for us.

Place is true to it's name, awesome location, you can go down to the river front in 5 mins, food though only indian spread was great, service standard can be improved, short staffed, so while folks did their best, this can be improved, same with housekeeping, we stayed 3 nights, no service, they checked on last day, guess no point then, lot of power outage, if was hot during day, they need to have decent power back up. Rooms need to be spruced up, more activities for kids will be great.

We stayed for two days and everything about the place is mesmerizing. Excellent location, well maintained premises and rooms, good housekeeping, polite staff and friendly people, good food each time. Harish and naresh are especially wonderful to plan any activity with, such as rafting, short hikes and trails. Ashish is always on toes in the restaurant to satisfy any food cravings, thanks for a memorable stay, already looking forward to plan another one soon.

1. The location is fantastic- exactly on the bank of the river ganga. 2. The staffs are very polite and supportive 3. Food is very decent. 4. The common bonfire in the night makes the stay further comfortable. 5. The place is ~15 kms from devprayag. But the road is decent.

If you love peace, tranquility and reflection, this is The pace for you. The rooms are nice, The ambience is splendid. Staff is courteous.

We travelled for a different experience to normal stays and we got what we wanted. Really felt close to nature with The sound of The flowing waters forming The backdrop at all times. The staff, especially Ravinder, Deepak and Dinesh, were great and really made it a stay to remember.

We stayed here in the Weekend of valentine. It was comfortable stay. Good food. Good ambiance. Excellent view From tent.
