Stayed at Ar Thangakottai, Yelagiri, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is peaceful with great hospitality and clean, spacious rooms. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

Food was tasty and had varieties. Stay was comfortable with good hospitality and facilities

The room was maintained very near and clean. The places were amazing and especially the food is too good.

The property was good but the food is average and the road to the property is very bad, no entertainment activities

Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. They should explain more about amenities , activities happening in palace whilee check in.

This stay is completely overhyped. which turned out to be a closed space with a small window and no view. The breakfast was terrible, with very limited options. I still don’t understand the justification for charging such a high amount. The location is also unimpressive. The worst part was in the ladies’ restroom near the swimming pool, where a male housekeeping staff member entered, claiming he needed water for the plants—an extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable experience. If you want to feel like you’re staying in a palace, you might be impressed by the exterior, but the interiors are disappointing—certainly not worth even a 3-star rating. Overall, a very below-average stay.

Had a pretty good trip overall. The place itself is super charming – the rooms and resort give off that old-world vibe with the cultural touches and sculptures, which makes it stand out in Yelagiri. I went for the Palace room with my two kids, and that turned out to be the right call, they had a blast. The pool is definitely the star of the show, and we ended up spending a lot of time there. Food was okayish and the service can be on the slower side, so don’t go in expecting super quick bites. Tried the spa too, but honestly, I’d say you won’t be missing much if you skip it. Still, for a smaller hill station like Yelagiri, this resort really does feel like the best pick around.

All the amenities are good and an excellent stay overall....It was very scenic and the atmosphere depends on the climate... The only thing to improve was Off road conditions while reaching the hotel from the main road....

The only good thing about the stay is the Infrastructure and Architecture style of the Hotel. Reception and Restaurant doesn't have a good understanding at all. I have been told that Complimentary Hi Tea is at 5:30 - 6:30 PM. When I went for the Hi-Tea, the restaurant simply said it was only from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. And we have to pay extra for the coffee. AR Thanga Kottai is an absolutely stunning place! The structure is beautifully designed, giving a royal and elegant vibe, and the resort itself is calm and inviting — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The ambiance is top-notch, and the surroundings make it a truly memorable experience. The only downside was the food, which didn’t quite match the high standards set by the property. While the menu had variety, the taste and quality could definitely be improved. Overall, a beautiful destination for a stay, but I’d recommend exploring nearby restaurants.

We did not enjoy the stay in AR Thangakottai firstly our room location had frequent power outages we managed for 1 day next day the room incharge asked us to move to another location nearby. This itself is not right because we have to bag our things and move to another place and don’t know if we are comfortable in new place secondly the food as buffet is not that great Infact they served the same desert which was kept the other day . This is intolerable and not advisable as we had two kids who might be having bad stomach upset or food poisoning

It is one of the finest places we had stayed so far. So if you are looking for short drive from blr then try this out. You will feel good.
