We stayed at the 1921 Estate Villa for a short family getaway, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. The villa is set in the middle of the Chellotte Tea Estate, offering beautiful scenic views and a calm atmosphere. What makes it special is its old-school vibe, which gives the property a unique charm compared to typical stays.
The villa is about a kilometer inside the estate along an unpaved road, but it’s still easily accessible from the Kozhikode–Wayanad main road. The rooms were spacious, clean, and came with a king-size bed, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing.
Breakfast was not included, but arrangements were made to deliver food from nearby restaurants, which was convenient. Still, having in-house dining options would make the stay even better.
If I were to suggest improvements, adding a few more amenities like a campfire area, kids’ play space, or a small swimming pool would make the villa more engaging, especially for families with children.
Overall, it’s a great value-for-money property, perfect for short breaks. Its peaceful location, combined with its proximity to nearby attractions like Vythiri Park, makes it an excellent choice for a refreshing holiday.
