Orange Valley Plantation Holiday Coorg

It was one of the terrible stays in my life. It was raining heavily when we reached. The hotel staff didn’t even bother to receive us. They didn’t offer umbrellas and kept waiting for us arranging everything on our own. Upon arrival, I had to tell specifically that I had booked two rooms otherwise I was initially offered one club house only, such was apathy. There were lot many flies around and for proper management we kept on calling housekeeping staff. It was not only dumb but non receptive as well. All night the power kept on fluctuating, but it was weird to know that hotel staff didn’t even manage inverter to keep their guests pacified and unaffected. There was no simple courtesy or acknowledgment. AC and TV both were in non working state. Next day morning- most of the breakfast was not hot, was not properly served. Restaurant staff didn’t even bother to serve. The whole stay wasn’t even worth 2000 rupees. I booked seeing earlier reviews and some good rating but I am now sure that all of that was fake and untrue.

Loved our stay at Orange Valley! The property is surrounded by beautiful plantations, and we enjoyed activities like trekking and exploring nearby waterfalls. The food was delicious, and the staff was super friendly. Can’t wait to visit again

As a solo traveler, I found Orange Valley Plantation Holiday to be a hidden gem. The peaceful atmosphere, fresh air, and organic meals were just what I needed. The hosts were welcoming and made me feel at home. A great place to relax and reconnect with nature!

We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. While booking we didn't expect much for the price we paid. But upon checkin, we were pleasantly surprised by the place and by the friendliness of the staff there. Everyone right from the owner to the staff were bending over backwards to help us in anyways they could. They offered us a free upgrade, immediate services on F&B, late checkouts etc etc without us even asking them!!!! 5* for service Rooms: Beds were soft and comfy, linen was good quality and brand new, blankets were clean and usable, towels were just right off the packaging, bathroom, bedroom and living rooms were all very clean. 5* for cleanliness Furniture other than beds and sofa were mediocre but nevertheless all functional. No maintenance issues whatsoever. 4* In the night there was barbeque and bonfire, which we did not attend. The breakfast is free and sumptuous with fresh food and juice/coffee, although not a wide spread, it's just perfect for a good breakfast. We ordered some snacks in the evening from the restaurant although not much choice, the food was good and served quickly. 4* As far as activities and children play area is concerned, not much to do around there. Although, the property is located inside a well maintained coffee estate and has very scenic views and is very good for an evening/morning walk. The approach road to the property is also good. 3* We used the room only for getting a good night's rest and the property exceeded our expectations by a long shot. Its really a very good place to stay with family and I would highly recommend this place. The price paid is 100% value for money! 5*
