very bad hospitality and atmosphere

bathrooms are not clean. Alcohol smell everywhere inside the stay. bedsheets are not clean. We booked this stay as we need a bed for 5 hours before to other main stay. Better book a better stay than this even if it is costly. We asked for late checkout, thank god they said late checkout is not available on that day

The stay was great! We stayed there just for a day but we felt so welcome there! Had great fun with the people there, one of the best hostels we had stayed so far. It was clean and felt really homely. Jabi was really friendly as well.Location is really close to the cliff as well. Great stay!

It was very good experience staying there. The property was good and well maintained. Special mention to Jaabi who is the caretaker of the property. He is very nice and friendly person. It was good time staying there.

Bathroom was terrible otherwise the location and the hostel surroundings are good , non ac accommodation is poor

Very disappointed with the stay. Poor service and hospitality. Bathroom was not clean, and basic items like towels, toothpaste, and a proper blanket were not provided. Would not stay here again.

Stayed for 4 nights, it was really peaceful and close to the cliff, plus very budget-friendly. Thanks to Jassi for arranging everything on short notice and planning a surprise birthday celebration. A must-try stay with such warm and friendly vibes!

Zebra Hostel in Varkala is an amazing place for travelers who want a mix of comfort, good vibes, and community. The hostel has a relaxed atmosphere — you instantly feel at home. The dorms and rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff are super friendly and helpful, always ready to guide you about local spots, cafes, or hidden beaches. The common area is perfect for meeting new people, chilling with music, or planning your next adventure. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the cliff, beach, and restaurants, yet far enough to stay peaceful. They also have fun activities like kayak trips, bonfires, and local tours that make your stay memorable.

It was pathetic in all its senses - ambience, location, cleanliness, service, infrastructure as well as hygiene. This property has been marked as 4.3 rated. We had to find a different property to live in and its a waste of money to live here.

Good stay. Rooms and toilets are clean. The living room ambience is very nice. They have a common area outside. We can eat and drink there. There is also a projector which we can use and vibe. We can also connect with strange people. The hostel is just 300 m away from the cliff. They provide both dormitory and private rooms. I will give 4/5 for this hostel

I absolutely loved my stay here! The location couldn’t be better—Varkala Beach is literally just a 2-minute walk away. It was such a joy to wake up and be by the ocean within minutes, whether it was for a peaceful morning walk or just to catch the sunset. The atmosphere of the place is so warm and relaxing—it instantly makes you feel at ease. Everything felt calm and welcoming, like a little escape from the busy world. And the food—wow, it was amazing! Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and felt like it was made with love. I found myself looking forward to every bite, whether it was a traditional dish or something more familiar. The amenities were clean and well-kept, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. They really made me feel at home, always checking in with a smile and ready to assist with anything. Honestly, this place has everything you’d want for a relaxing getaway—great vibes, delicious food, and the beach just steps away. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Varkala.

The stay needs to improve , hostel quality is not as shown in photos , mattress and bed sheet were dirty , been to better hostels in goa with almost same price .

I had a wonderful experience staying here.it was a home away from home with a slow peaceful vibe and ambience.I had the best stay ever.Also the hosts were best.Overall I would recommend this to everyone.
