The overall experience was very awesome. We got board games hall where all can sit together and chill and also alone where we can dance and have fun night.

Excellent Stay
I really enjoyed my stay at The Hostel Stories, Varkala! From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. The vibe here is amazing — everyone is friendly, welcoming, and full of good energy. I met so many great people, played games, and even learned new ones like Codenames! Big thanks to Pintu and Hari for being so kind and creating such a fun, comfortable atmosphere. The conversations, laughter, and overall experience made my trip truly memorable. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Varkala! 🌊✨

Hope hostel has the best location among all the hostels present in varkala..right on the cliff..the property is well managed and spacious..though when I checked in, they denied the presence of any music system which was quite strange for a party place like varkala..rest all is fine

It was pretty nice place… very near to helipad area..little noisy when i visited apart from that everything is good. They helped us reach railway station early in the morning by providing contact number

need room service for maintenance daily
Stay was good but the washrooms must be maintained better and there was no room service done daily

Home away from Home
Location is amazing, close to Varkala cliff. Moreover, the staff treats you like family and are always ready to help.

first i was confused that everything i have in my mind i have to do alone but the host shafiq bhaiya introduce me to other solo travellers and later we decided to everything together and whole leaving everyone was sad but thanks the story home

Best Hostel Stayy
Lovely stay, friendly company and mates around, clean rooms/dorms and washrooms, good food and good games to play, laundry and cooking option is also there, the host & the caretaker are very friendly

Stay anywhere but here
The hostel is worst ,the host is very rude plays loud music and sings badly does not have talking manners,the hostel is very old in the curtains have mole groth the bedsheets smell when I checked in they told me the sheets are fresh later when ppl from my dorm checked out and new ppl came in they did not change the sheets at night there was a power cut they do not have a generator not even an inverter I was sweating in my bed couldn’t sleep at all when I complained about this to the host he just laughed me off and said ussme Kay which means -so what? Overall they should demolish the bld and start farming-wait but that will need a big land and water right the place is too small the 6bed dorm is very small and the water in the shower is kindda yellow I just hate it spoiled my entire trip 1/10 experience ,one because I made it alive

Hi Varad, Thanks for your time for writing this review & we are sad to hear that you didn't had a good experience while staying with us. Overall, all of your bad experience is connected with power cut frustration & at the other hand you choose a Non AC dorm in April month which we also don't suggest to the people . We have beautiful AC Dorms which is perfect for the summers. We have kept one Non AC dorms for budget travelers & for the people who doesn't like AC. We are a new hostel & all of our bedsheets and curtains are new. In Varkala, we don't have much power cuts that's why none of the hostel here have power backup except 1 hostel who charge 1000/- for a bed :) So what we are charging is totally value for money even though we are more focussed on vibe & cleanliness of our this home. I hope next time you will choose a AC dorm for your summers stay. Lots of love from Team Hostel Stories <3
