Pleasant experience with a few caveats
We recently stayed at The Bushman Lodge for 4 days and had a largely peaceful and pleasant experience, with a few caveats. Pros: • The staff is genuinely courteous and polite, always ready to assist and ensure you have a comfortable stay. • The food served is fresh and tastes home-cooked. While the variety is quite limited, the quality is commendable. Do note, dinner orders need to be placed 3–4 hours in advance. • The lodge is set in a serene environment, ideal for relaxation. The soothing sound of the nearby river adds to the tranquil ambience. Cons: • On our first day, there was no water supply in the washroom, which was a bit disappointing after a long journey. • There’s no power backup system. In case of a long power cut, which is not uncommon in the hills, you’re left without electricity or heating options. Overall: A great place if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature in peace, but be prepared for occasional basic utility issues.

Dear Ms Natasha, You have given very good reviews for our property, location, food, service and staff behave .Due to these positive reviews we get huge strength and we try to do even better. I have also given your two points that you did not get proper water supply on the first day, the reason for this is that at that time there was heavy rain behind our location due to which supply of main water source was disturbed in that entire area and along with it electricity supply was also disturbed. If you are coming in an offbeat destination , you will have to keep all these things in mind while coming, still we have told the concerned departments like Electricity and IPH that they should improve both these services so that we and our guests are not disturbed, our business is growing with the love and cooperation of you guests, so we will also arrange for a power back-up at the time of coming so that everyone gets better facilities.
Terrible Stay
Tents are terrible. Bad odour. Bathrooms are full of large insects and leeches. The kitchen's exhaust was just in front of our room and we had to bear all the non veg smell coming out of it. However, the manager was always available and was helpful whenever we needed something. p.s : no view of the valley/mountain whatsoever.

Thank you for staying in our unit but you faced a lot of issues in our unit which you have shared in your reviews. I would like to tell you that we have set up very comfortable and budget-friendly Swiss camps as per the location and many guests and groups have been very happy staying in them. As far as insects and leeches are concerned, nature related things should be kept outside in the offbeat locations where our units are located and our team and manager get pest control done in the entire camp and washrooms before check-out and check-in of every camps /room. Many times some guests keep opening camps doors again and again due to which something keeps coming inside the camps ,it is very important for staying guest to pay attention to this, Sir if you had issues with the camp in front of the kitchen during your stay, you can talk to the manager once and get it changed the next day, so that you do not have any major issue, still we will pay attention to every thing and will talk to the manager and the team as per the reviews given by you and will definitely work out on it.
Excellent Stay
The experience was definitely worth it, loved their cooking styles, the food was like a 5 star resort, it was absolutely delicious

Excellent Stay
The bushman lodge is an excellent place to stay with independent Log huts and a well furnished room with an extra bed already in place. An Almirah to keep/ hang clothes may have been a good choice. There's adequate space in front for a camp fire. The rooms are lighted up with natural light through the glass roof. The washroom is clean and geyser is working. An electric kettle was a good gesture in each room for warming up water. It's actually 2kms ahead of main jibhi in a place called Ghiyagi and short of shoja. The food was good and service was excellent. Bushman lodge was a very nice experience 👍🏼

overall good experience
The lodge was good food was also good but the room I was staying in had a lot it insects also the lodge lacked basic hygiene,bathroom was too smelly and they did not have any solution to sort it out else the room service was really good.

You are many thanks for choosing our unit to your Jibhi Tour . As per your reviews you have praised our cottage , food & services but you have reviewed the amenities and cleaning part of your cottage that they did not match your level. We would like to tell you that we have kept the amenities basic as per the structure of the cottage and offbeat location because other guests demand these things. And as far as insects are concerned, ma'am, we do proper pest control and cleaning part before room check-in. If the guest has to get the room cleaned during his stay then also we get it done. Still I spoke to our property incharge and staff and asked why they did not clean your cottage and what steps did they take for insects. For us, providing comfort to guests and proper service to them is our priority.
Average Stay
Property was nice. Food was awesome! Staff were friendly. Location of camp was not the good.

Good Stay
The bushman cave is a good location for the stay afar from the hush bush of the down city. The stay was comfortable as well. It also connects well with both shoja and jibhi, if one is planning for shoja.

Worst stay in jibhi
It was not at all clean and hygiene and the food is terrible panner fells like potatoes here and there is no on e to attend us and even wifi doesn't works and the owner is also too rude and there is 0 vibe here

We have no idea who the staff and how the owner was managing it at that moment .We have taken over this UNIT from 2023 and have upgraded the facilities of the UNIT. We have also built 5 Luxury swiss camp along with Cottages, we have appointed the entire professional team there. Who are always ready to take care of the comfort and convenience of every guest.
