The Wilderness

The wilderness was an absolutely amazing experience. Had visited it earlier when i was staying at another homestay close by. Was love at first sight and planned to come here on my next trip. The stay was way beyond my expectations. The property is a labour of love, with a lot of attention to detail, whether it's the flowerbeds, the choice of fabrics in the room, the fragrant aroma in the bedrooms, the spotlessly clean bathrooms. Manmohanji and his staff is very attentive, rajesh ji who owns the property is an excellent host and i look forward to the experience again.

Food was average and maximum dishes were not available at the hotel.

Location and property is awesome. Food is good but they don’t maintain proper kitchen. We reached at around 3pm and they couldn’t provide any food nor any snacks as their kitchen was closed. You have to book food in advance. Moreover there were many cherry trees within the property with cherry grown. On checkout i just asked if they can give some, they told it’s chargeable and that to at market price. I think they should have given some as gift and obliges guests.

A beautiful property with a very friendly and helpful staff. I would surely visit this heavenly place again.

A quaint peaceful place with lovely view. Rooms were comfortable & clean, bathrooms top quality. Manmohan, Meeth & Shishu were ever cheerful & ready to help. Food was very good. An excellent experience, worth the travel.

The location was beautiful and easy to find. It had scenic views of the tan u jubbar lake on one side and lush, green wilderness on the other. The cottage had a rustic, cozy english countryside-like charm to it. The property was a little pricey, but overall, the experience was good. The food was amazing but again, quite on the expensive side costing us more than 4 thousand for just 2 meals for 2 people. The service was good. One important feedback would be on accessibility. The property will benefit from making accessibility easier for the elderly and specially abled people, especially since they did not have room service and meals were served in a buffet. Hence, based on the accessibility issue, it felt even more overpriced. All in all, i would rate it a 4 out of 5.

100 words is too short to describe the most ethereal and incredible experience we had at The Wilderness. Nestled amidst the woods, mountains, apple and cherry plantation, The Wilderness is a slice of heaven. The owners, Rajesh ji and his daughter Zoya are perhaps the best host we've ever come across. The rooms are sparkling clean. Tasty and homely food. Extremely warm staff. The view from the property is breathtaking. Their hospitality, eye for detail for every guest will stay with us forever. And the best part was the two furry friends we met at The Wilderness - Maggi & Tanana, who simply stole our heart ❤️ Will visit again

Nice quiet, peaceful and cozy rooms with good room service however food is little on the downside.

The location is good, staff and ambiance is amazing, cleanliness and room are extraordinary

Hotel staff was not professional enough and they didn’t serve the proper meal even after charging the 2k per person for food. There was no buffet as such and 2-3 its were served despite of charging the huge amount. Very expansive! not value for money at all

Stay was comfortable. Bathroom is the weak point. There is no separate shower area. Tarriff is very high.

I will add this place in my best of the travelling memories. Amazing food, beautiful room and cleaning is at the best.

Location is good next to tannijubbar lake. Excellent scenic views, food is again very good but available only at breakfast and dinner time, service and staff is very good. And the best thing was the bone fire. Now coming to short comings, the major problem is of hot water. During our stay of 3 days, we haven’t received hot water. Only the staff provided us the hot water buckets in the morning. It’s not value for money as the cost is too high related to facilities. Internet wasn’t working. Tv was made available on demand. Hotel staff was very good but not professional. No reception area. No telecom services in the room. I suggest only one day stay only.
No temperature check nor hand sanitizers present.

In jean when temperature is below zero degree at narkanda no hot water was available in taps and no geysers working horrible experience even washing hands was a task to do. Will never visit this place again

Great place I like The location

Good service, amazing location.

The kind of reviews that we see online is no where close to the actual experience. Heater not working in such cold weather. No hot water in the room. TV not working and top of that, no one to listen and solve your problems. The only good thing is the location. No value for money at all.
