One of the worst hotel experiences ever!
We had booked a short weekend stay at the PL.A Rathna hotel at a fairly higher price with breakfast and lunch/ dinner. We had expected a premium experience considering the cost of our stay. Our anticipation was met with disappointment as soon as we set foot into the hotel premises. We checked in 4 hours prior to the hotel check-in time and were ready to pay any extra amount. Since we were going to check-out pretty early on our final day, we requested that our 'complimentary' breakfast for that day be served on check-in day. The management straight up refused to do so and was not even nice in the least bit. Then comes a mix-up of veg and non-veg food at dinner time. That's a huge thing for a hotel this expensive. The rooms were alright but this being such a pricey hotel for a place like Trichy, we were expecting hospitality. The final straw was when during our check-out, the staff (who had previously promised to arrange for transportation to the railway station early in the morning) did not budge. They did not even help us with our luggage, let alone making any effort to ensure we are comfortable while we check out. I understand that hospitality is not their strongest suite, but they should stop charging their customers such hefty rents for extremely poor service. I would never recommend this hotel to someone who cares for value. And even if you don't, better spend money some place else where they'll treat you like guests and not people who are staying in their property for free.

Good Stay
Location was okay . Complimentary breakfast had a decent number of varieties and the taste was good. In the room rest room I suggested that they keep the partition screen clean since it was a bit dirty ( kind of black fungus growth) Wifi worked good. Beds were clean and comfortable. AC and lightings were good.

Location in a crowded area food was average room was not well appointed. Wash room needs to be updated. Heavy water leakage in the wash room. Overall not worth the price being paid for.

Worst place to stay
familyI regret to say my stay was quite disappointing. From the moment i arrived, things went downhill. The check-in process was incredibly slow, with unhelpful staff, and they didn’t care about the customer. The room was a major letdown. It was small, unclean, and had a musty smell. The bed linen appeared unchanged, and the bathroom was in dire need of a deep clean. The noise level was also unbearable. Breakfast was equally disappointing. The buffet lacked variety and the food was cold and tasteless. They had no live counter. When asked for dosa, they asked us to eat kal dosa which tasted bland. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. For the price paid, i expected much better service and quality. Please don’t call this property 3 star. It’s more like a lodge rather than a hotel. Full of mosquito. When asked for a good night they said they have ran out of liquid. Very very disappointed - i hope this helps convey your experience. Poor Stay
Smoking smell in the room. They should not allow the guests to smoke inside the room. Should maintain separate room for smokers. Hot water was not available for bathing. Not recommended. No polite service.
