Not a 3 star hotel as they claim

It's not a 3 star hotel. Average hotel, average stay. It was my first trip to Uttarakhand so had no idea about the place. I reached the hotel very late on the check-in date and had called the staff in the middle of the trip to keep the dinner ready. Firstly they denied saying the kitchen closes early and also told me that the Corbett Gate closes at 8 pm and I won't be able to reach the hotel. I was frightened as I had already booked this hotel and it was quite late and I had no hope of getting any booking in other hotels. When I got close, I saw there were a number of hotels. I would advise if you are visiting this place for the first time, reach early in the day light. The staff had kept the food in my room, it was all cold and I could barely eat it. I just slept and left early morning. Overall average stay.

The hotel is located few meters away from the town with a beautiful view of valley and the ghats. A perfect place for couples if they want to enjoy each others company away from the hustles of city in the arms of nature. The staff is too good and very helpful.

The property is amazing and so is the staff. Location is on outskirts but we wanted peace so we loved this place. They serve home cooked dinner which is a cherry on the cake.

I was pleasantly surprised to see my hotel parijat retreat in the middle of nowhere. Literally but in a good way. Words can't describe the view my room offered. Maybe my pictures could give you an idea. The staff consists of 4 people, who do a fabulous job. The rooms are clean, food is amazing and very reasonable, they organise for sightseeing and are very polite and courteous. I plan to visit again if possible. Must stay at this resort.

Good property at extremely economical rates. Food was absolutely excellent. Only issue is that there is no parking. You need to park on the road and the walk up is very steep, so it's difficult for elderly people.

If you want a calm place this is for you then. Only recommendation is to try their new Duplex rooms ( not on booking menu) yet you can call and book those .. Really comfortable and nice! Service was amazing, thanks to the manager very kind gentleman

Very bad hotel, totally wastage

Too bad rooms poor location, rooms are too dirty only one man staff. No power backup. No parking totally wastage of money and time. Please don't stay or book this hotel. Actually this is not a hotel it's a type of guest house with only 3 rooms.

Nice staff and prompt service. The location is good and easily approachable. Room heater and water heater helped us stay comfortably. It was like Chhota Packet and Bada Dhamaka. We will soon be going there again. Some of my friends have already been to the retreat.

We stayed there from 12th to 13th November 2016. Location is very beautiful, magnificent view of the Himalayas, ideal for a relaxing holiday. Staff are very helpful. Parking is problem, we need park car outside the hotel on the road. Overall, experience very good.

Good view but very far from the city

I stayed here for one night and it was raining very heavily. I reached here in the evening and it was very difficult to find the place. There were only three people running the place. They dont have a phone or a bell to get to the room service. There was no water to drink or towels in the room and since it was raining it was impossible for me to get to the hotel staff. I wont suggest this place if you are going with family. There was no light and the only backup tht they have is an invertor and that to powers only one light in the room. I had to spend the night without thr fan and not being able to charge my phone because they dont have any power backup for the ppwer sockets in the room. The only good thing about this place is the view outside the window is amazing. And if you are able to get to the staff they are very helpful. And I forgot to mention they dont provide parking as well. They will ask you park your car outside the hotel on the road.

Ideal for a relaxing holiday

We stayed there from 21st to 24th October 2015. The Retreat is 30 km from Ranikhet and if you come from Kathgodam it will take three and half hour by 4 wheeler. The location is beautiful but you can't find any shop nearby, the nearest local market is 1 km downhill. Basically the place is very secluded and ideal for a relaxing holiday, however, not a preferred option if travel is in your mind. All places are quite far and the serpentine road does not quite make this a preferred location for your base. Me and my wife had been looking out for relaxing holiday for a long time and the hospitality of the staff and magnificent view of the mountain spur and Himalayas was overwhelming. However, internet does not work there and though the Retreat claims WiFi it actually doesn't give it. Overall, experience very good.
