The entire journey to reach Mangalmayee home-stay was worth it as we watched the scenic beauty of the illustrious city of Jaipur on the way. The place is quite approachable coming from NH-8 ( Delhi –Jaipur) both through the Amer fort road and the Transport Nagar overbridge and cornered at the right juncture of old and new Jaipur ( JLN marg just a km away ). The panoramic views of grand Ramniwas garden facing the plethoric Saraogi mansion welcome you at the turn to approach Mangalmayee Heritage Home. Everything from chaat pakoda to temples to specialised shopping areas to historical monuments is in the periphery of this cozy place which has a clean, spacious, hall-like AC room and the choicest of the décor hinting to you about the heritage of the city you have arrived in. It was indeed an experience to cherish the warm hospitality of Sandeep Ji who is the host and is running a successful business of Rajputi Poshak, transfer work and embroidery sarees since 1911 in the same premises. He is a man of many skills and possesses wide knowledge of Ayurveda and Spirituality. Hawa Mahal, a famous thousand-window monument, is 5 minutes away with a small battery-operated conveyance called tuk-tuk. Foodies can find a solace in the variety of the stuff offered in the same street which is the address of the home stay! Rightly, it’s affectionately called the Chaat Gali. The Room is clean and well-ventilated with a small book collection about the vintage dresses culture.
The host is always just a phone call away for any emergencies. He took good care of us and made us feel at home as well as provided some great tips and rare insights into the heritage and culture of Rajasthan. This particular trip to Jaipur was made memorable by the unforgettable experience of this wonderful stay. Thankyou, MMT, for listing such amazing places on your platform!
