Erratic power supply causing non-working AC
Location is OK but access is a little constrained, good if you want to stay close to Manipal. The staff is generally helpful. The room is small and accessed by a small staircase. It does not have the listed amenities, and everything has to be asked for. The bathroom is good, almost as big as the room itself. The worst part of the stay was erratic power that kept tripping every few minutes and the AC was completely ineffective because of that. Despite repeated assurances the problem could not be rectified till very late, the manager said it was just bad luck as the problem was due to a transformer fault and had occurred for the first time.
