Disappointed by the Experience Despite the Beautiful Location
I recently stayed with my family at Royal Castle in Kasol, and while the location is undeniably beautiful, our overall experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the premium pricing.
We booked premium rooms which were decent, but honestly not worth the cost. The food was also average at best and again, quite overpriced for the quality and taste offered.
What truly ruined our experience was the live band evening. We had a family reservation for the performance and had requested a song in good spirit. The artist kept saying he would play it, but made us wait for over 45 minutes. When we decided to leave, he rudely responded with, "It's my band, I’m the artist, I will do what I have to do. You must respect the artist." We were stunned by the arrogance. What made it worse was that we had already tipped him, but he returned it rudely saying “take it back.” We felt extremely insulted.
We brought the issue to the hotel management’s attention, but unfortunately, they just said sorry and didn’t take any further steps to address our concerns. While the band may not be directly employed by the hotel, I believe the hotel should take responsibility for the guest experience when hosting in-house events.
It was not the kind of hospitality or respect we expected, especially on a family vacation. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both service quality and accountability.
Wouldn’t recommend for those expecting respectful hospitality and value for money.

We’re glad you liked the beautiful location, but we regret that the food and the live band evening disappointed you. The way the artist behaved was not right, and we completely understand how you felt. Even though the band is not directly part of our hotel staff, they perform inside the hotel, and we take full responsibility for how our guests are treated. We are already working on making sure such behavior doesn’t happen again.
Regarding the room and food pricing, your stay was during the peak season, which is the busiest time in Kasol. Prices are naturally higher during this time across all hotels. If you’re looking for better rates, we suggest planning a trip during the off-season, when prices are lower and things are more peaceful.
