Nice home stay accommodation with great views. Food is good and staff are really nice. Far from crowded places

We have booked our stay in Hill Castle Resorts, Kothagiri for 2 days. Two adults. One Child. When we reached the resort, my heart dropped. Dirty area. Was thinking how can I spend two days in that so called resort. It was looking just like an old men's hostel. Actually I was carried away by a previous review " like a 3 star!". Any was we checked in. The cancellation time was over. Now we won't get the money back. The owner of the property and staffs were polite enough. The kitchen staff cooked good homely food. And it was nice. But spending two days in that environment seems horrible and depressing. You are stuck inside a room. No garden to walk around. No play area for kids.It was just a building near by a road. No other amenities. After all I have came a long way to enjoy. Why wasting two days ? I searched again and booked another hotel near by for the next day. One day charges are gone . Still we would be able to enjoy atleast one day. So we vacated the place after spending one day by losing one day stay charges. Food charges We ordered lunch, one Veg meals, Two Kerala Porottas, one veg curry - 500 For Dinner One Veg meals, two Dosas, two idlis- same charge - 500 Over all I was not satisfied with the stay. The hotel is apt when you roam around Ooty and Kothagiri all day, and then you want a place for sleeping. Good for batchelors, tour parties etc when you need a place just for wash room purpose. Not at all recommended for families like me. Pls note - the people here are very cordial. No complaints. But stay is utter waste. It seems all previous pics were misleading

It's not worth to stay. Worst expirence. The place is still in construction and room & balcony is not clean. Not worth for the price.

Good and beautiful place. Home cooked food. Location is amazing. Some dust was there due to ongoing construction work. The host mr venkatesh and his team are extremely supportive. Would love to visit this place again

It was wonderful stay and excellent food and staffs... Good heart peoples surrounded and good senary from balcony. The rooms look 3star hotel and excellent experience with good hospitality.

The rooms are very clean and the staff are good. They provide tasty home food. The view from the balcony is really good.

This was a nice peaceful cottage located in a secluded place in kotagiri. Having said that, the connectivity to the place is good. One feels serene looking at the tea estate all around. The host and his helpers were really helpful. The food server was tasty. All in all enjoyed staying here. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a peaceful few days

Place: / location excellent food : excellent (tasty home cooked food) room : very good service offered: excellent only point to improve: though the property can be located easily, there is no sign board leading to this place. Even g-map failed to find the property, took us to a different location on the contrary. We struggled to find the place initially and wasted close to 45 mins for the same. That is the only issue i had. Having said all that, the proprietor of the property mr. Venkatesh is extremely helpful throughout our stay taking care of almost everything, even trivial stuff as well. Overall, it was a fantastic stay out there in kotagiri. Thanks, saumendra
