Review Of Gibbon Backpackers Hostel

I stayed in a standard non-ac room. At first glance, it looked a decent room with decent setup but as i started to settle in, i saw the bedsheet was torn, pillow looked like it hasn't been washed on ages as well as the pillow covers were really dirty. Moreover, it was hot and one ceiling fan was not enough. Everyone in the room complained about the fan so much so that we had to move our beds and everyone slept on the edge of their bunk beds to get some air.

The stay was quite good, bathrooms were clean and maintained. Overall experiance was good.

This was their ac room, washroom was not clean, bed linen was dirty, all of which i was okay to adjust with, but this!!!!! Please ignore the +ve reviews, i fell for it and had to struggle in a place, not knowing the language, after a full day of travel and day one of my trip , and probably have bedbugs in my luggage which is going to ruin the rest of my trip as well . Also due to the sleep loss we now have rescheduled our trip slightly. The place might have been nice but now ruined due to poor maintenance

The toilets could have been more clean. I had booked for bunker bed but got a single bed. Otherwise waste disposal could have been better

Good vibes being felt between strangers, have seen smiling faces inside the building more than in the streets, friendly, open minded young people

It was a amazing stay at gibbon. Hygiene was maintained well. And a super cool hosts.

Wonderful place to meet fellow travellers from all over india and abroad as well. You can have sweet interactions with people from other states and learn about each other’s culture etc. A place which can turn an introvert into a extrovert in a spliff. Hostel literally feels like school hostel where you’ll make lots of new friends
