Refund Complaint – Unsafe Hotel, Unhygienic Room, and Poor Support from MakeMyTrip
I had booked a hotel for 2 days through MakeMyTrip, but I decided not to stay after seeing the actual condition of the property. The hotel is not suitable for families. The environment is unsafe and filled with shady activity. and the room they showed me had stained bedsheets and poor hygiene an overall unhygienic atmosphere. The surrounding area was also terrible.
When I raised this issue, the hotel owner refused to refund the full amount. He said, “If the customer provides proof of the stained bedsheet, I may think about refunding.” But he also instructed the staff not to open the room again and not to let me click any photos — making it impossible to provide proof.
I then contacted MakeMyTrip customer care, explained the situation, and clearly mentioned that I am a single lady traveler and did not feel safe. The executive responded that the amount is non-refundable and asked me to disconnect the call, offering no help or concern.
This is extremely disappointing. I request a full refund for both days, as I did not stay at the hotel even for a few minutes. I also expect MakeMyTrip to take action against such listings and support customers more responsibly in such situations.
